I have no idea what a reliable octane booster is. I played around with boosters like 104+ when I was younger, but I never really felt a difference.

if your engine needs the octane, the booster will eliminate the pinging and allow it to produce its full power ..If the engine doesnt need it, it will make zero difference

  2. yeah my 22 Ram E-Torque Hemi is 10.5:1 too .  16 spark plugs! Ram recommends 89 octane but they say you can run 87.. However ,Computer pulls timing  if it senses detonation . It does hurt MPG tho.  My Corvette is old school. no sensors or sophisticated Ignition/injection  that can pull out timing or change A/F ratios to suppress knock.. Hot weather really increases detonation. I doubt Massimo Ignitions are very sophisticated ..At the first sign of pinging I would dump in some booster or premium fuel

Isn't a CF Moto a Chinese machine? I had Chinese made UTV years ago (lost it in the divorce) that had a CF Moto engine. This was a much smaller UTV, but it was impressive. I believe it was a BMS. That thing carried me and my brother in law up some really steep hills during deer season, and through some really wet stuff. Had a hydraulic dump bed, too. It was carbureted, with a manual choke. That was the only thing I didn't like about it. It came from Texas like the Massimo did. I don't see them anymore.

yes, as are  our Massimos UTVs.. but trust me, the quality of this compared to Masimo is astounding.  Automatic  ,power steering, winch ,hitch.. everything you could need.  it also has a 2 year warranty.. not even Honda has that .. I would put this against any of my Hondas anyday..

  4. lol  I guess so.. now it makes me watch a freaking 30 sec ad before I can use the forum?? WTF!!  Doing great, buddy.. Had my back surgery, feeling like a kid again!   How bout you? Everything going well?   My MSU 500 / Hybrid Yamaha  still banging along , no issues and my new CF-Moto 600 is a bad azz machine.. I am smokin Hondas and Arctic Cats on flat ground and in the mud!

  5. I do own a Massimo and owners manual says 10:1 compression [ I did not tear it down and measure components] and  it recommends 91 octane or higher .. but you probably know more than they do.   no one suggested he would get more power from 91 octane but I do suggest he can detonate enough to destroy a piston with insufficient octane..  If it could run just fine on 87 , HISSUN  and Linhae would recommend it . just my 2 cents worth

  6. I dont know it these can tolerate low octane, the Comp ratio is around 10:1    I run only 93 Octane in all of my UTv and ATVs .. Its only 60 cents higher here than 87 octane.. maybe you should move here? lol just kidding.. Try it with just a gallon in the tank first.. If it pings , fill it with premium

  7. Whats with all the ads ???  Haven t been here lately . Now I cant even get to various forums because they are covered up with ads that I cant X out..  .. do you want us not to come back?

  8. got over 100 miles on it.. runs better every time .. Thing has big balls .. I ride with several friends. One has an Arctic Cat 650 V-twin.. ... He smokes my SXS   every trip, but I got the last laugh when we matched up with my CForce 600.. on flat ground .. This thing is very fast out of the hole with the CVT transmission. .. It does burn more fuel than my others.. maybe 15 mpg..

  9. My 500 engine has no decompression release , but it spins easily and has always started easily.. that was never an issue..  blown head and head gaskets were the plague that fell upon mine from 1st day I bought it.. for which Massimo refused any warranty reimbursement from first day break down on

  10. never had issues with starting it.. always started right up..and in 5-10 minutes overheated! lol .. All is good now. But it was a nightmare from day one when I had to be towed back to Camp after 15 minutes of driving! Maybe your battery is aging or might not be large enough ? I had a 350CCA battery in mine new.. When it crapped out, I put a Marine Starting 600CCA battery under driver seat and ran new larger and longer cables.  used #6 AWG wires

  11. just an update on my MSU 500 . For all the misery it caused me the first 2 yrs, and the combination of some quality YAMAHA parts, it has now become a reliable ,useful UTV without the constant fear of having to push or tow it back from trails. I have not had a single issue pop up in a very long time.. FINALLY!....and as a side note, I just bought  a C FORCE 600 ATV to replace an old and well used  Honda that finally after 18 yrs gave up a rod bearing.  So far the new one has really impressed me .. I like the new Power Steering and  this CVT Auto Trans is new to me on an ATV .. I m used to constant shifting on my Hondas .  It also has something I have never seen. Its EBS  engine brake system, as soon as you let go of throttle, it engine brakes you to a stop rather quickly.. its great idea for the grandkids safety . Takes a little getting used to tho.. All in all, I like it. We shall see how durable it is after break-in.. I do "RIDE" them! .....and they honor their warrenty! and the dealer is 15 minutes away..

  12. Weii I can say it's a pretty good machine so far..I like the Power Steering  auto trans.  Lots of power but it does seem to run higher rpmsthan my others and definitely burns more fuel so far. May improve after break in.  I AM NOT USED TO THE EBS.  (Engine braking system).nice for wife and grandkids tho.

  13. Well, I did it.. I bought the CF MOTO  600  CForce .. I tell you the damn thing is nice.. Power steering /Auto Trans .. runs and drives unbelievable quiet and lots of power.. So far I m giving it a big thumbs up . Time will tell if its durable but for now its impressive
