  1. Same condition affects my 2021 800SX LE, it has no detrimental affect - just annoying, it’s not a concern for me...Yet
  2. Bill. Let me clarify a bit - my 2004 Yamaha Grizzly & 2006 Kodak “run” but both look like “hell” as a result of both having had crashes & roll overs (when My Son & I use to ride like “nuts”). Now they just get normal trail rides and some farm work....The most extensive work done on both has been “re wire” due to extensive MOUSE Damage - the mice naw & eat the plastic off the wires and hard to keep them away. Both ATVs now have those “green” mouse poison blocks hidden throughout the engine and under the seat. Regards
  3. BFisherman, I’m always shocked at the price of UTVs & ATVs and today the top end ones are $25,000-$35,000.!! Certainly Polaris is a quality brand - and higher priced (as are CamAM) but other top brands include Honda & Yamaha and possibly Suzuki & Kawasaki. They have slightly lower prices and are highly rated depending on model (my Yamaha Griz & Kodiak are 20 & 17 yrs old run great). In the Summer of 2021 I did research on the Tracker line (made by Textron - Arctic Cat) and sold by Cabela’s/Bass Pro. They were well reviewed in magazines - but then it’s rare to find any ATV/UTV without good reviews. I considered them somewhat of an “off brand” but since I’m Not racing them and will keep in my garage - bought the 800SX LE. It’s been 2 years and all good - No issues at all....but still only 70 hours and 300 miles so “more time needed”. The 800SX LE is their top of the line, runs up to 50mph and very quiet - at idle it is by far the “quietest” UTV made. Ride is very smooth on 28” tires and it came with hard top, side doors, windshield, 4500lb winch - out the door price including tax $17,400. I believe their 570cc models are lower by $5000. For my general work around the property, some off road riding (Not racing) it’s great plus the hydraulic dumb bed holds & “dumps” 1000lbs. My neighbor has a Polaris 10000 similarly equipped - it is faster and more “car like” but also $10,000 MORE. I also seriously considered the Yamaha Wolverine 1000 and general farm work and some fun Off Road racing - that would be my pick, cheaper then the Polaris and appears as Off Road capable and plenty FAST.....was around $21,000 out the door when I last priced them.
  4. I guess I am somewhat fortunate since i have Not had any squealing on my 800 SXLE - yet. Mine was bought New in 2021 with about 60 hours on it now. It has not been ridden very hard but does get some mud, water and dust on it and I’ve never power washed it — just hose it off. Others have said to power wash the under carriage — good idea but i’ve Not done that yet.
  5. CORRECTION - my 800SXLE is a “2021”
  6. I have the 2020 800SX, Not the “Crew”, has power steering.....No real problems (so far). It is garage kept and sees only normal/gentle use (No off hard or fast Off Road). I do drive thru creeks and some mud, lots of dust too — rarely get any “squealing” but I have heard it a few times. Others have told me to power wash the under carriage occasionally to prevent that (I don’t bother) but guessing You’ve done that and your problem is beyond that. I can’t complain about my 800SX but also can’t complement the Bass Pro Service Dept. either because I haven’t used it (it’s a 50 mile drive from my house and I still need to get a trailer for my 800SX). I did Not buy the extended warranty - tried to but was “3 days past the deadline” to purchase one and Customer Service would Not make an exception.
  7. I have an 800SX 2021, 40 hours on it and No belt noise. I have recently noticed some “squeaking” in the shocks and could be some mud or dust, more noticeable on cold days. No problems otherwise, starts easy, never stalls. The belt drive transmission does seem to jerk into gear as you first start moving, engine needs to reach a certain RPM before the gear engages and its not smooth when you first start moving — but is very smooth afterwards,,,,,it’s just sort of “snaps” into gear. Ive heard thats a common complaint and not a mechanical issue or problem...its the only thing I don’t like about the Tracker
  8. I have a 2020 800SX LE and about 300 miles/50 hours with No problems so far. I also was cautious about buying “off brand” but the Quiet engine and overall value/price was what drove my decision.....no regrets at this point. I don’t race this or ride hard but it does do some “work” on my property, drags a harrow over food plots, hauls tools etc... My concern - when shifted into gear the engine must rev up before it moves and then it “snaps” into gear (nothing smooth about it). Once running and moving it’s fine and I can mitigate this a bit by very slowly Erving engine until I feel gear engage. Dealer told me this is a common observation and complaint from owners but Not a problem mechanically. The belt drive transmission is commonly used in ATVs and generally highly regarded but none of my Yamaha ATVs do this as they are much smoother. As someone else posted - these are Not made to automotive standards but I’ve got no other complaints and had no issues in the two years 5 months I’ve owned it...the ride is great too, thatis very smooth. One note - ..it is garage kept.
  9. I would think that there will be No refund (although there should be) any mechanical problem should be repairable - only question is cost. There could be dispute between Cabela’s & Textron over $$, parts, blame assignment —— all affecting You the Customer. I have a 2020 and no problems yet. Would think Textron will want to avoid a recall due to the expense and damage to Brand reputation but a Recall would be best for the Customer because the repair will be correct and free. Cabela’s partnership with Textron could also be at risk and that would motivate Textron to step up and Fix this issue. I had concerns going with an “off brand” when I bought my Tracker but took the risk because the research & test drives I did on the 800sx we all very positive....and it was by far the “quietest” UTV out there. I don’t believe any ATVs or UTVs are made to Automotive Standards - all seem somewhat 2nd rate compared to same parts etc...found on a Car. Think about what you get on a base model Jeep Wrangler vs a top of the line UTV....price is very close. Hope you get your Tracker repaired and Dealer does the “right thing”. I don’t think Cabela’s is as good as they were prior to being bought by Bass Pro (quality & customer service has diminished) but they need to fix this for you. Also, if anyone is ever injured because of this problem - both companies will be liable.
  10. Yep, agree and after careful thought decided to purchase the 48 month Extended Warranty/$1099... Called Dealer, left message, then emailed, No returned call. Called again and finally reached Sales person who then told me “Your 4 days past the 90 days allowed to buy the extended warranty”. When I told him I left messages weeks ago - no response? Also reminded him that I was told I’d get emails offering the warranty before the 90 day window expires - but Never did, he had no response. The Dealer said they Never are allowed exceptions but I could call Bass Pro Customer Service if I wanted to. I did, went to a Cabelas in Northern VA in person and they are currently “looking into”. Since I purchased my 800sx from an authorized Tracker Off Road Dealer (in Southern VA) and Not a Bass Pro or Cabelas - figured I have a better chance dealing directly with Bass Pro vs franchise dealer"we’ll see how it goes but NOT happy so far. I’m Not optimistic that Bass Pro will correct this matter but maybe it’s for the best....and will save me the $1100 for an extended warranty that I should never need. Surprised they are not more aggressive pushing these warranties because they are Big $$$ makers for the Dealer & Warranty provider.
  11. Any “extended” warranty purchase is always a gamble (the $$$ up front vs likelihood it’s ever needed) but yours certainly paid for itself...even if you never use it again, you broke even. The manufacturer warranty s 18 months - would that have covered your repair? in the long run the $$ spent on extended warrenty’s Is a profit maker for the Warranty seller and I struggle with buying one or not. $900 up front for a 4 yr warranty - beyond the 18 months that comes with it. Because these UTVs are relatively new might be a reason for me to consider it.? Undecided
  12. My 2020 800SX LE has only 70 miles on it (purchased new June 2020) also shifts hard most times and seems to “pop” into H or R when first starting out from Park (as the engine RPMs rev up). The Dealer and their Service Manager both told me this is a common complaint from Customers but does Not necessarily indicate a problem . According to their Service Dept. - it takes the engine must rpms to “rev up” slightly before it will shift into gear, I usually just use a very light foot on the gas pedal and bring the rpms up slowly to minimize the jerking into gear.....it then always runs smooth while driving at any speed. Since I only have 70 miles on it - too soon to tell if this will become a problem, it is annoying but otherwise everything else has been great and especially the ride: smooth, quiet, on road or off. Acceleration seems a bit slow for an 812cc 50hp engine but didn’t buy it to race. Interested in what others think?

  14. Squeaking seems to be a common complaint for the Tracker 800sx...at least from forums or discussions I’ve read on line. I asked a dealer/sales person about this complaint and he said he also owns a 2019 800sx and it has 150+ hours on it and Never squeaks, it’s kept Outdoors for past two years, just power washes after and mud or dusty use. I hope it’s something that can be cleaned & fixed vs a permanent condition -
  15. I purchased an 800SX LE in Camo 2 days ago - new and in stock at a VA Dealer and it had the head rests. It was also packaged with hard top, windshield & rear window, front bumper & 4500lb winch, 27” Bighorn tires, power steering. I don’t recall looking over the others in stock to check for head rests but mine came with headrests.
