  1. Hola/Kia ora Casey & welcome to UTV Boards. There is a lot of good info with the Joyners that has been discussed with more topics popping up all the time and we look forward to your input. Paiute3 has a T4 like you so no doubt your feed off each other. I kind of get the feeling everyone is going to want to get to know you because of where you live and your T4.

    Cheers Mike.

  2. Glad your here flatbed. Great news about your daughter, that's something to celebrate. When s*** happens to us, you take it on-board, but when it's your kids, that really hurts. I didn't know you had raced in the baja, man that would be awesome to do that but I bet your back would give you grief after 1000 miles of pounding. By the way, my name is made up from 1 part, one of my favourite songs "Highway Star" by Deep Purple and 1 part, the fact that I greet most people by the typical Kiwi way by raising both eyebrows and saying "Bro". My mates started calling me "bro __ star".

  3. Just found out about this place thanks to Brostar. Hello again to those of you who know me, and nice to meet you for those who don't. I am a Joyner dealer and will chime in with relevant info if I have any. If you have any questions I'll help out in any way I can. Ride on ....... Tim

Good to have you here Tim, the place wouldn't be the same without you. There has already been alot of good posts with plenty to get on with and all without you know what in between. UTV Board is easy to navigate around plus new ideas are welcomed by the staff here & with just discussing Joyner talk by Joyner people, it's a pleasure. Enjoy. I'll send you a PM soon.

    Cheers Mike

  4. Not only do I come from a different country than you guys & gals but my miss-spent youth through to adult hood was more cars, cars & faster cars. I lived for cars and from an early age, 19 years old a had my 1st business which involved driving around and servicing the North Island of NZ every six weeks and the South Island once or twice a year driving fast cars. More often than not I'd end up racing a sales rep I knew from one city to the next. Over here back then, you could get your full drivers licence at 15 and I spent the first 10 years as a boy racer. I'm mellow now but when I first drove the Trooper that old feeling came rushing back & on the odd occasion I have taken myself & the Trooper to the limit - well to my limit anyway. I think what gets my blood rushing is that sound when you 1st start it up.

  5. rocmoc, without no doubt at all, this was one design oversight on the earlier T2 that is very frustrating. The only 2 ways around it in my view is to cut a larger hole for easier access to the drain plug or go the whole hog and remove the welded panel directly beneath the sump and relocate the T connection housing the hydraulic rear parking brake hoses. The T connection could stay put if a supporting 4cm east to west boxed brace is welded in place of the now removed panel for it to bolt onto. If you do weld on a supporting brace, all that's need is to add another brace further up for the original panel to bolt onto, otherwise replace the cut off panel with a new oversize panel and bolt onto existing panels. I know rocmoc, easier said than done and I haven't made the effort but I think this is your only answer and you are gaining a little weight in doing it.

    Cheers Mike

  6. brostar, how do you send private messages, I must be having a brain fart. I guess i am going to figure out how to do pictures. the trooper looks great with the big 15" paddles on it. It feels great to be here amoung friends.

I got your PM. DON'T FORGET TO TAKE SOME PICS OF THE PADDLES @ GORDON WELLS. This site is user friendly so it wont take long to get up to speed. Welcome to UTV Boards by the way, I'm enjoying not having to defend Joyner all the time.

    Cheers Mike

  7. I noticed that on my 1st demo a Commando and have been using Morey's heavy duty oil stabilizer in all diffs since. The metal shavings just goes to show how important that 1st oil change is & this occurs in all areas when running in. The diffs tend to get forgotten so use the best product you can. kinarfi, mate I like your idea with the nail and as this is constant issue with me, I'm going to try that one.

    Cheers Mike

  8. I have two of the new rear plastic trays but what concerned me with them was people riding in the rear & going through them onto the engine after a bump. The do look fairly solid having said that. The plastic would handle a fair bit of heat before they melted Cinda but if you are worried about, an engineer could cut some diamond plate to fit in 1/4 of an hour.

    Cheers Mike

  9. Kinarfi, mate after seeing those photo's of your plane crash, you are indeed a very lucky man. You must of done something that only a very skilful pilot can do at the last minute to survive it. From what I've seen of Utah, like Az you've got lots of exploring areas to do in the T2. It will take longer than your plane but at least it will give you a different perspective.

    Cheers Mike.

  10. I love the troopers!!! Whats going on bro hows the riding over there? Been busy? We sure have... I can't wait until lil Emerie gets here so I can ride once again. I kind of got tricked into a ride when I was just suppose to be going in the parade...well they took everyone who was in the parade straight to the ride... and ending up being on a trail for hours and hours. :o I was kind of scared for the baby...but since the Joyners are so smooth riding it wasnt as hard on her as riding something else. The doc said she was fine...so she has got her first ride in the womb... haha I just cant wait until she can experience on herself..with her bad a$$ mom of course:)

MegZ, there is always something on the go over here. As for sales, man it's bad. Every retail sector is feeling pain & lots of it. When America sneezes, we get a cold, now America's got the flu we are got in the well you know what. The weather is spot on at the moment and was going for a blast this Saturday but something else popped up. I went for a spin a couple of weeks ago & although the track was easy, I enjoyed it. I saw your bump pics & yep she's on her way. If you get to a couple of weeks over due, go for a gentle ride to get things moving along.

    Cheers Mike.

  11. We just need more people on this site! UTV market is growing, so will this site...

UTVMAN, almost a year to the day, more people on there way. I like all UTVs, some more than others but all UTVs have pros & cons. Over here in NZ we still don't really know what UTVs are & the result is me learning off you fellas. This site will only grow with people, so pass the word on and help turn it into what it deserves.

    Cheers Mike.

  12. Hello everyone,

I'm really excited about this forum! My husband and I each ride Sportsman 700's and we also have a Trooper Four Seater. We spend the summer in Utah riding the Paiute Trail with our son, Lance and our grandson Tyler. Once it cools off in Utah we bring the toys back home to Nevada to play in the fall and winter. This year we're going to try and make several trips to Arizona as well. I look forward to getting to know everyone and if your looking for riding partners in our areas please let us know.

I also wanted to say thank-you to the FA for the Joyner area, that was fantastic to see and to know that we're welcome.

    Cinda

    Hi Cinda,

If I ever make it to Nevada, I'm going to check out that Paiute Trail. I have just arrived on this site too but welcome to you & your family.

    Cheers Mike.
