possible water in the gas tank!
-
The world moves on, you do not.
-
What method did you use to contact them? The dealer should have a direct number for dealers only. Sounds like the dealer isn't trying very hard to satisfy his customer. Just what is wrong with the 550?
-
Unplugging the connector doesn't cost anything and does not suggest one should not wear the seat belt. However, freedom of choice is ours in this country and as long as we accept the consequences of our choice it should not be judged by big brother.

You can just unplug the connector to the seatbelt. tie up the connectors so they do not get damaged

Hisun 500 Soft Cab Enclosure Upper Doors — Need Advice
nods replied to jamesxevan's topic in Hisun UTV SxS Forum
I have the soft upper doors on my Stryker 750x. Keeps the cold wind and rain out just fine. Vinyl windows get rolled down and are strapped to lower portion. The sliding glass window is more than twice the cost, and if you look at the picture you will notice that the window only slides about halfway back. I would not be able to get my mail out of my mailbox like that. It is true that the soft upper will not last as long depending on how it is stored, but the larger opening is much more desirable from my point of view. I have no regrets going CHEAP, they keep me dry. One note I would like to make. These do not just pop right on. There is somewhat of a challenge to get the weather strip on properly and to align the upper assembly so the door will close properly. Make sure the door closes correctly before installing any of the uppers. -

Found your post from 2018 when you replaced the cylinder head and gasket because it overheated! Long time ago JB to still be complaining about Your issues. CWD stated that he charged his NON customers for repairs and would then reimburse if Hisun paid for the repairs. He did not say he charged his own customers. Please read the comments completely before responding in a non constructive fashion, You have been beating a dead horse long enough I think, it's time to let it go.

You haven't mentioned what you bought, when you bought it or what the problems where. Tractor supply is just a big box store like Lowes. No real service department for things they sell. What state are they in? A states AG for consumer protection should be able to deal with any issues that might fall under a Lemon Law at no cost to you. Hisun and Massimo are Not the same manufacturer. They separated ways some years back, lots of common DNA, but different companies now.
-
Joe what did you buy and where did you but it from? I bought mine from a local Hisun dealer, he said they were slow to authorize repairs but they always did. They would send a road service tech out if the dealer had a problem fixing it. A manufacturer will not stiff a dealer on legitimate claims without risking the loss of its dealerships.
-
I have to disagree about beating a dead horse. Being persistent, polite, patient and non-threatening does pay-off. I have posted in the past on some of the issues I was dealing with, my list of problems was long and ever evolving, but they all were addressed up until the last one witch they said they were unable to repair After that Hisun took a different approach and I ended up with a new and different model. Have one problem with the new one but am working to get it resolved. Don't expect anything much to happen around the holidays but things will get resolved in the end. I do not really see a point in going to Honda, Kawasaki or another brand. They all cost much more comparably equipped and if there is no local dealer for service you have gained nothing. I am wondering why Hisun did not send a Road service Tech to address the issues you that you are dealing with, that's what those guys deal with.

Last month there was a management change in the customer support and service section. Third time in two years! They do not seem to recover very well after each change. Document all contacts with Hisun and keep at them, do not give up. Also fill out a customer contact form about any issues if you have not already done so. If you have a contact via e-mail keep asking them for a response. Do Not Give Up! I have spent 28 months so far trying to get problems solved, changed models and have a new issue for past 2 months. I Will NOT Give UP! It's a pain in the ass, but they need to step-up their game if they want build a business like the big boys.

The radio has extremely poor reception, only 3 stations, all above 100Mhz. I have a cheapo $30 portable that gets 24 stations and a 45-year-old jobsite radio that gets 23 stations, and my truck gets over 35 stations. Also, the volume is extremely loud on the lowest setting. Any experience with this issue on a new Stryker.?

When going downhill in high gear, after about 5 to 10 seconds of coasting, the trans comes out of high gear and the engine freewheels. Once I slow down enough on level ground the gears start to grind and re-engage into high. Also get grinding if I try to accelerate before I slow down. Originally, I had noticed it would not always engage low gear every time. Cable has been adjusted about 1/8" now and low gear engagement has not been a problem, SO FAR. Still goes into park, reverse, neutral, high and low without issue. The coasting concern has not seemed to change. Old guy, no hair left to pull out. Anybody have some techy info for me?

Sector 750 EPS Parking brake alarm stuck on

Check the signal lights fuse, 5 amp if i remember correctly -
Well, it was interesting to watch the road tech replace EVERYTHING; the fuel pump and sender assembly, new fuel lines, fuel filter, Injector, HEGO, TPS, and IAC. One thing he was talking about the most is water/ethanol contamination, which would settle out to the bottom of the fuel tank when parked for a day or more. Once driven it would mix in the tank and the severity of the problem would go away. He looked in my tank and really didn't see this in mine, although there seemed to be like water marks in the very bottom of the tank. He wiped it out and then filled it with premium fuel that has no ethanol. My running concern has gone away, and the unit runs really very nice now. Of course, having that many parts replaced is like a shotgun blast, hard to miss. I did end up with another electrical problem just before this last repair. it was supposed to have been fixed and was not! It is intermittent short in the main loom, (the engine loom was already replaced for another issue.) When driven on the road about 1 mile the fuse for the signal lights blows. Have no brake lights or turn signals and causes feedback in the instrument display. Hisun picked it up yesterday to take it back to Texas to replace the main loom that was supposed to have been replaced 3 months ago. So, I guess the bottom line is check for fuel contamination. Do not use fuel that has ethanol added! The fuel pump retaining ring on the tank is really tight, watched the tech bust a sweat trying to get it off then back on, he was a very BIG dude and was using a very special tool. You might try to get a gas sample after letting it for a couple of days in the position that gives you the worst starting problem, check for obvious contamination and then google how to check for ethanol in gas. If you find any fuel issues, make sure you replace the fuel filter. Hope my ramblings help you. NOD

I would check for fuel contamination, water or too much ethanol in bottom of tank. I have a Hisun tech coming Monday to check my 2022 sector for that condition, mine loses power going up my long-inclined driveway. nods

You didn't mention year or model, however, Sector 750s require the idle speed to be around 1600rpm or lower to move gear selector into desired position. If the idle speed is to high you will NOT be able to engage a different gear.

Glad I could help You.

YES, had to adjust mine a while back. it is only an up and down adjuster, that's all they gave us. Garrick
-
Randy, Stop! no need to shim. The adjustment is that one phillips head screw you see in the picture at top right. Up and down adjuster screw. They seem to miss the detailed set-up at the assembly. They just do not check things very well IMO. Hope I saved you some work. Garrick

Well, the dealer has had my 750 for seven weeks now for a number of issues that he has been putting off. Not a happy camper! However I was told that Hisun felt it was possibly an MCU problem and it was swapped out while it was in a no start condition. It seemed to run OK, so the original was put back in and they had a no start condition once again. They then replaced the MCU and felt that there might be an internal intermittent connection to one of the connector pins that was the cause of the codes and running issues. I hope to get my 750 back very soon and if it passes MY smell test, I will call this issue fixed at that time.
-
Not a charging problem. Has issues when trying to start, pops codes when it does not even stay running, It will display a code when it does run until I make a right turn at the top of my driveway and the code goes away. If I drive back down my driveway I might get a different code, and that code might just disappear before I get back to the top of the driveway. It gets even worse if it rains while it is parked. It has to be a poor connection someplace. Dealer still has it, have not talked to him for three weeks so I have no idea if he did any of the needed repairs yet. My wife totaled her car last week so I have different concerns at this time. If it ever does get fixed, I will be sure to post what the cause was. I do not have a lot of confidence at this time, as I mentioned in a previous post, I am going to look into the lemon law for this state. Thanks for your input. nods

Dollars to Doughnuts you have a bad starter solenoid. Had to have mine changed at 18 hours! It is fairly easy to test, use a volt meter and connect the ground (black) lead to a chassis ground point, an unpainted bolt would likely due. Take the positive lead of the meter (red) and connect it to the larger terminal of the solenoid that is NOT connected to the battery. It should read 0 volts. Now turn the key to the crank position and if it just clicks read the voltage. If it still shows 0 volts the relay is toast. If you get battery voltage then the problem is not the relay. (You can check your meter function by testing the battery voltage at the battery terminal.) Hope that helps you.

Andy, Thanks so much for the reply. I was going for a ground concern; it was the E Infront of the codes that was throwing me off. Why didn't they just show a P instead. It seemed to me it was a loose ground because it changed with the weather, literally every time it rained it had some other fault showing and different running concerns. I have suggested checking the engine to frame ground to my dealer who has the vehicle now. He seems pretty sharp but is new to Hisun products. At least now I feel I was on the right diagnostic path. My health is keeping me from doing a lot of the repairs myself. I guess I need to learn to enjoy retirement and let someone else do the work. Thanks again for the info.
