I bought a 2021 Coleman 400 UTV from Tractor supply mainly because of the $2000 off black Friday sale ($6999). I wanted something to do some light hauling around the boat shop and figured this would be a better choice than a golf cart. Initial review is that for the money,it's got to be the best deal going. Fully equipped right out of the box with a lot of nice features. First off, everything worked, that's a good thing. First thing I noticed is that this thing is LOUD,so loud that I use foam ear plugs to run it. The rear axle is locked, like most 4 wheelers,so the tires scrub on tight turns and will tear up the lawn. I found some loose bolts and did a general inspection of everything and tightened up the loose ones as I found them. It's cold here in SE Michigan and I want to do some recreational use during the winter. I bought a 3 Star door and rear window soft enclosure and installed it. Top quality materials and fit great. I added some foam to close off all the gaps and it really does the job. Next I added a Ice Crusher heater kit that uses the coolant to provide heat in the cab. Quality parts and the kit was pretty much complete,I also added a coolant shutoff valve so I can direct all the coolant through the heater instead of the radiator,or blend it as I wish. The heater has a 3 speed fan and 2 directional outlets for this model and with the enclosure will warm it up to shirt sleeve temps at speed with the outside temps in the low 30's. I also added a Kolpin Stealth 2 auxiliary silencer, the exhaust note is definitely quieter and less raspy, but this rig is still noisy enough at speed that you need ear muffs or plugs. I changed out the headlight bulbs to LED's which are a big improvement from the halogens. I figured out a trailer hitch adapter for the oddball thing Colman provides. Now it's just run it in and break it in. For a 400, it is actually quicker and faster than I expected, the specs say 38, but it's closer to 50. Brakes are powerful and smooth. The solid rear axle makes this thing pretty capable, but you also have the push button 4 wheel drive and a push button front diff locker if you need it. All in, it's set up just the way I wanted it for under $8000.

Welcome.

If you have any questions there's plenty of info in the coleman and hisun forums (it's a rebranded hisun, but most of the 400 posts are in the coleman section) there's a couple posts in each about things to help quiet these machines down.

People have had good luck with adding various sound deadening materials under the front/sides of the seat and under the bed.

I would love to see a post about the heater setup with some installed pics. I've seen them listed but you're the first person I've heard of actually installing one on a 400.

Next problem with charging system to tackle, any help would be appreciated.
      New starter solenoid....check
      New Voltage Regulator...check.
Dynamic test to Stator.....bang...pulling like 2 Volts AC
Problem: Without pulling the part out and stranding the vehicle at the shop forever.... I am trying to find the correct stator or at least one that might not be exact for the Massimo Buck 400S, but fit and connect and do the job if that makes sense.... if anyone has any ideas, please shoot them my way.

So with seat belt on  I can only get up to 20mph then it starts bucking until I get under 20 again. Diconnected the seatbelt and same thing. Reconnected seatbelt and unplugged speed sensor. Zoom..it flies. But now I have no speedometer. I have a new speedometer sensor on the way..any other ideas?

I have a 2021 Axis(Hisun) 700 from Lowes. Will not start. Checked starter, solenoid, spark plug and fuel pump. Everything seems to be fine. The motor turns over and will try to start but just will not. Battery is also good. Frustrated!

2022 Coleman 400 with 13 hours on the engine and the mice got to it. Every wire coming out of the steering column in one cluster has been eaten through. I tried reconnecting matching wire colors to each other and I get the left turn signal and hazards to work, nothing else. If I play around a bit I can get the horn to honk or headlights to come on but only when I connect them to the brown wire. Obviously I don't know what I am doing here. Does anyone have a picture of how these wires are connected when they are under the hood on the drivers side coming from the steering column?
Gray - seems to carry power
      Brown - left turn signal
Green with purple stripe - hazards?
Pink with red stripe - horn?
      Green - head lights?
      Yellow - head lights?
      Yellow with red stripe?
      Blue?
      Dark green?
There is also a bundle hanging under the hood not connected to anything green with yellow strip, brown and blue?
Other than that issue, I am about ready to sell this for parts if you interested let me know.
      Thanks

Can anyone please tell me or send a link as to how & where to hook up a code reader to my 2021 Hisun 500 Axis.  I have a 6 pin to a 18 pin  adaptor and the blue cord VAG KKL adaptor .Just not sure where or what to hook up to. Can I use your typical vehicle code reader or do I need to download something on a laptop or PC???
