2018 Sidekick starter needs replacement ~ Looking for an alternative starter

My 2018 XG-850-SL starter died yesterday. The old part number from Kubota is E7153-11732 which has been superceed by part # EG881-63010. I am looking for an aftermarket starter because the Kubota retail price for the starter starts at $550 and upwards toward $850.  If anyone has gone down this road before and has found an aftermarket starter ~ please share with me. We own a ranch and this thing is used every single day and is sorely missed when it is down for maintenance.  Kind Regards, ~ Stan

Follow-up ~ I have found that lightly tapping on the starter with a hammer allows it to start.  We live in a dusty ranch environment so it is likely worn brushes and or dust. I can remove the starter, disassemble, and inspect but would like to have an alternative lined up in case it is basically trashed.  I know dust plays a role in the problem because it exhibits a slight squeek when starting. ugh

Don't tap it as you will break the magnets that are glued in the housing and then you will have junk. Clean it and check for worn out bushings!

BEEN TRYING TO CROSS NUMBERS FOR TWO DAYS SO FAR!!!!

As a mechanic thats needlessly replaced many rebuildable starters, DO NOT hit it!

Also check, clean and di-electric all battery, solenoid and ground cables before condemning the starter.

I have the same year model Sidekick and have experienced this problem-TWICE! And good luck finding an alternative. The problem is the permanent magnets used for the motor field detach from the motor housing and shift around, typically breaking up and binding the rotating element, a.k.a. the armature, producing that irritating screeching sound.  Eventually it will become so bound up that it will not operate at all. If you know how it is possible to replace the magnets but in my experience this is only a temporary fix but the two times I did the replacement, it bought me 4 or 5 months to save up the money for a new starter I just recently purchased the newer part number starter but have yet to install it.  Hopefully Kubota has corrected the problem, hence the new part number

Hi, my 2010 Hisun will crannk but comes to a stop and only clicks.  It has new battery and solinoid. Battery connections all seem good. Any ideas what the problem is?

I have been doing a little research on which engine oil is best for UTV engines.  There seems to be some disagreement over using a good quality regular engine oil, and the necessity of using "M2" (or wet clutch suitable) oil.  My understanding is the "wet clutch" suitable oil has less friction reduction properties (hence a more responsive clutch with less slippage).  While less friction reduction properties would seem to be better for the wet clutch... it would not be best for the internal engine parts like camshaft bearings and other moving parts where friction is detrimental and would lead to premature failure.  Some folks swear you need M2 oil, while others say they have been using regular motor oil for years and their clutch is just fine.  Could they both be right ???
      Any thoughts ?

I’m getting a 700-7 every startup. I’m having to change the plug every 100 miles on 93 octane gas. I got a lower numbered plug that is supposed to burn hotter. I’m wondering why that comes up every time I start it and if it’s related? I included a picture of the code or whatever it is. I haven’t seen the code in the owners manual or the hisun shop manual I have.

I think this part is causing a high idle problem(4000 rpm at start up) in my 04 R4 Joyner. I took it out and cleaned it and the problem went away. I just went out to start my SXS and it's idle jumped up to 4 grand again. Can someone tell me what this part is called so I can search for a new one. Or can you point me towards a source.
      Thanks in advance.
