As far as I understand silicone is fine for everything except direct contact with gas, regardless I've used silicone on a 350 rocker cover with no problems before and it was RTV Silicone. I just found the old tube and the specs are, resists aging, temp range is -50C to 205C water, oil, grease and vibration. Jeff, RTV Silicone for your valve cover will be as sweet as Nanas nuts or I am a Polaris fan.

Cheers Mike.

Sorry Jeff, my Kiwi slang is getting the better of me again. That roughly means in the old days, "my Grandma grows the best fruit, veggies and nuts known to man". Used in language today translates to, it will be fine".

So RTV Silicone would be OK to use on your valve cover.

Cheers Mike

Any sealants you use that is in contact with gas including intake manifold areas and motor oil for that matter should be Oxygen sensor safe. Problem is that when certain chemicals in the other sealants burn, the residule can greatly shorten the life of your Oxygen sensors. Oxygen sensor safe sealants will say that on the front of the tube. Darn and I really liked that Permatex Motorcycle sealant too.

Hope I posted this in the right place. Looking for the left side shaft carrier where the rear bearings go for an 1100cc sand viper, I understand an 800 cc carrier will also work. I need the old style two bearing with the spacer in the middle, the new style with just the one wide bearing wont work. If anybody has one I'll buy it right away. my email is [email protected]

My rtv 1140 won't turn over.  I've jumped the neutral switch, and the brake switch, and checked the ignition switch. I'm not getting any power to the trigger wire on the starter solenoid.  It starts fine with the key on and putting power to the trigger wire on the solonoid.
Does a 2010 RTV 1140 cpx have a starter relay?
Does anyone have a wiring diagram?

I heard there's several off road festivals out that way. One or two post apocalyptic, the rest just rev and run. Anyone know a good one that offers camping? Any advice for out of state people like hauling, legality, and where to stay?
Ideally me and the missus would be down for camping out and setting up shop somewhere nearby. That way we can just wake up, load up, and ride.

I just purchased a Massimo MSU500 and no manual came with it so I have some questions. looking for part #'s and availability of basics like spark plug air and fuel filter. What is the valve adjustment specifications?
Is there a fuel drain? It's been sitting, low mileage but I want to drain out the old fuel and put fresh.
