Would there be much benefit if I took my 650 commando pipe and instead of it going into one pipe and then to muffler, i ran 2 pipes to 2 mufflers. Or is the y-pipe helping pull exhaust from the other cylinder.

I think the 2-into-1 has some benefit in torque. These little motors are sorely lacking in that, so anything you can do will help.

Hello all. I have a 2005 Joyner sand spider 650 with the dreaded broken output shaft on the transmission. I got ahold of a 2007 joyner commando 650 for cheap that had a bad motor but a good transmission. I got it because everything i read said that the transmission would work but it seems that it will not. Due to the commando being 4x4 it has a selectable locker and a small ring gear using a "idler" gear to turn the ring gear which make the output spin the wrong direction. Is there any way that I can make this thing work? I really dont want a commando,  I like the buggy but if the trans wont work then I can only put my motor in the commando. Any help would be appreciated. I have the ring gear from the original trans but the shaft is broken and the shaft from the commando wont fit the ring gear it doesn't appear.

I have a 2007 Joyner Commando 650, and cannot find a shift cable. Commando is a 4 speed, and the cable I need is the one to the right side of the shifter if you are sitting in the front seat. Cable is approximately 40", and has an eye on each end. I tried fitting a can-am shift cable, and the ends are just too long to mount and make work. Looking for a supplier so I can get the Joyner moving again with the correct shift cable.
      Thank you,
      Gary

So I recently acquired a 2005 Joyner Sand Spider 650.

      I have a few questions -
I see no timing marks on the crank pulley at all. And nothing on the block. How am I supposed to time this thing? The manual says 6 degree +/- 2 @ 900RPM, but thats all it says. No pics or info on where the timing marks are.
Also, I seem to have a timing belt, not a timing chain. Is that normal?
