Hey guys, I run a lot of country appx. 22 sections in Dryden Texas on the rio grande. I was looking to get some tires that can handle the rocky rugged desert terrain , and was looking for some suggestions. Also, we travel through countless patches of dog pear, and do not want myself or my friends getting bombarded with the spiny little bastards at 50+ mph.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Go with the ITP Bajacross which is an 8 ply tire. Good all terrain tire and will last. Look it up and read the reviews and info on it. Only up to size 27 I think maybe 28 at the most. Very good tire though if you are looking for thickness and all terrain.

Hi Sean. You might take a look at the Falken Rocky Mountain AT. I run 30x9.5x15 on my T4 and they are fantastic at 25psi. 8 ply and great traction, even in sandy washes. Adds a bit to ground clearance, too. Good luck!!

I run Mickey Thompson Baja Claws, 31x10.5-15s. I like the tire but they arn't wearing well. For the little mileage they get, they are still lasting a long time. The side walls are thin and I have patched them a few times because of side punctures. For sand dunes, I'll run 5psi in the fronts and six on the rear left and 7.5 on the rear right. They all bulge out the side at the ground the same at these pressures. The rear right is a bit heavier. For the trails I like to run 2 to 3 psi more per tire. Softer tires does soften the ride a lot.

Thanks a lot guys! I work crazy ours as you can tell, so I really dont get to have a lot of me/buggy time. I'll start looking into these tires. Also, do y'all have any suggestions on fenders, because like I said earlier I really need them for the dog pear and thorns we go through during a guided hunt.

I really do appreciate all the help

P.S. ive been looking for a roof rack for my buggy. I'm a pretty good welder but I've seen picture of what looks like a pre made rack for the trooper. Im an automation tech trying to get my company off the ground and with 65 employees it's really hard to find time to bend pipe. As I've said before, any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I posted this before , but I had the year wrong. The part I need is for a 2014, I don't know what all years will work, but I need the 2 bearing style with the spacer in the middle. It looks like this pic. If anyone has one I'll buy it rite away. my email is [email protected]. Thanks, RC

Hope I posted this in the right place. Looking for the left side shaft carrier where the rear bearings go for an 1100cc sand viper, I understand an 800 cc carrier will also work. I need the old style two bearing with the spacer in the middle, the new style with just the one wide bearing wont work. If anybody has one I'll buy it right away. my email is [email protected]

      Hello -
New here - and looking hard at a 2026 Mule Pro-FXT 1000.  My wife insists we'll be going with the Platinum Ranch, because in her words, we already saved $ by not going with a Honda 1000-6.  Ready to pull the trigger on this ... almost.
We were looking at the factory soft cab, but then realized this won't work with the standard hard top, as the soft cab has dual back windows to accommodate the 3/6 folding seats.  However, we like the hard top.  So recognizing there's a lot available in the aftermarket world, does anyone have suggestions relative to an aftermarket soft cab (sides, rear window, etc.) that will work with factory hard top, windshield and doors - and also allows for a (relatively) simple 3/6 seat conversion?
      Thanks,

Trying to get running a 550 Colman running but I think head gasket went bad. Do i just replace with new gasket, clean up and replace or is there more to it?

I’ve been searching for a windshield with no luck so far. Apparently, “Curtis” is an aftermarket cab on my Gator. I haven’t had any luck finding info through them, so I’m posting pictures in hopes someone here can help. Specifically, I’m looking for something like a Gator XUV 550 vented windshield — does anyone know where I could find one or have suggestions for a similar option? Thanks!
