Tom, we just launched this site and need help getting it rolling. We're going to do some marketing to get some members. What a moderator does is control the flow by watching the forums and doing the following:

Delete posts that are offensive

Keep members in line

Post new topics in the forums to keep them going

Basically keep an eye out and contribute in the forums.

We eventualy would like to have 4-5 moderators in this community as we grow. Let me know if you are interested.

Done, You are now our first moderator. Your user name has changed to Sizzler. First off, we need to get some members. But I would say if you can help out and post some topics to start, when you get some free time...that would be great.

As a moderator, you can edit and move posts around, and basically control the way the forums are managed. Thanks again Sizzler! ket me know if you need any help. If you have any suggestions, please let us know.

    • Just started looking at Cub Cadet

Hi, I am trying to decide on a UTV for use at my vacation cabin. It's located on a small island (Gedney, or more commonly, Hat Island) in Puget Sound. Access is only by boat. There is a barge (landing craft) that operates sporadically (about . It costs about $300 each way so, obviously, reliability and dependability is my biggest concern. We have been looking at a Cub Cadet Challenger 550 or 750. We like the features that come with it. In reviews that I have been able to find, there have been some problems with them ranging from leaks to electrical to engine failures. I know that most of the reviews are probably written to bitch about the problem/dealer so I place them in perspective. Does anyone have experience with them and would you recommend them (or others instead)? Thanks, I look forward to your opinions.   Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk

    • Brand new trooper Intermittent starting issue

I've had a 2016 trooper for a few months, it's never worked properly.  I'm about ready to take it to a dealer for warranty work but it's a little far so I'm trying to avoid it.  It on occasion will not start. It took a while to figure out that if I open the throttle just a little bit it will fire, I then have to hold it open for anywhere from five to thirty seconds for it to idle on it's own.  Other times it fires right off no problem.           It's turbocharged, and has two pumps.  I've verified that the fuel pressure is correct.  Joyner has had me swap a bunch of parts to eliminate them.  I suggested it seems that possibly the IAC is malfunctioning or that it's getting incorrect inputs from the tps but they disagreed.  I've read that people have had similar issues stemming from the IAC but until I get a replacement from them I can't verify.  I tried setting base idle a little higher with the set screw but the idle just gets erratic and won't idle down once I've given it some throttle.          I'm going to call them again tomorrow and have them send a new throttle body to try, and I also have a scanner for European cars coming that is supposed to read chery automotive ecu's; after that it may be time to haul it in.  Anyone else had a similar issue?

    • Chery engine & Tranny cross over from another forum(http://buggynews.com/portal.php)

Chery Engine Parts Cross by Rusty Nutz Racing » Wed Dec 16, 2009 9:24 pm Maybe this will help all the Joyner owners out, after hours and hours of research I found that the 2007 and older Chery engines are a clone of the ford's Britian CVH (escort) motor such as the 1.1, 1.3, 1.6 and 2.0. The great thing is that even though it was a clone of the Britian Ford CVH motor, they used 90% of the same parts as Ford U.S. CVH motor. The trannys are a VW model gear boxes with Ford bell housing. Least that is what mine is. Like the 650, 800 & 1100 are from a 1.1 to 1.3L VW golf. I have the 2006 1600 Joyner and my tranny is from a 97 VW Jetta. Now I'm not saying everything will bolt right up on the 650, 800 and 1100's you'd have to check that out yourself. But I know a friend that has a 800 Roketa and replaced transmission parts with a 1.3L VW golf. Another friend with a 2007 Joyner 1100 used gears and several other parts from a 1.3L Golf tranny. I have a 97 Jetta tranny that matches perfect to my 1600. I'm currently running a VW Jetta starter on my 1600. I bought several ford escort parts as replacement parts that fit perfect.

Just do some research or pull photos of the VW 1.3L tranny and you can compare what it looks like to what you have. Do the same on the engines. Google photo of the 1.1 or 1.3 and see if they don't look real close to what you have.
I've seen this info before but not on this forum. thought it might be of interest Jeff
