2010 Hisun 500 - Carbed'.  She sat for about 3 weeks since last use.  Couldn't get it started.... has spark but plug was not wet.  Bought new plug, cleaned the carb, confirmed fuel pump (pulse type) is working.  Still nothing.  Put gas in the plug hole.... started right up and idled as normal and drove perfect.  Used it for the rest of the day without issue.  Tried to start again next morning.... same problem.  Poured gas in plug hole again.... started up and best kind again.

Anyone have any insight to what's going on?

Is the choke working? These things run lean to pass emission standards. They must have a little extra fuel for cold starts. Some have tradition flap in inlet but some have " fuel enrichment" jet..it could be clogged. Or just not engaging

First, you need to confirm that the fuel level in the carb is low and/or the gas has "cooked off" the good stuff and won't start on what dead fuel is left. 

Simple test:  Fuel bleed down problem OR having to look at possible carb issues.

Disconnect the fuel line at the carb and cap (you don't want a pumped fuel leak here if it fires off and starts running).   Your machine "should" have the mini fuel tank that is mounted on the heat shield behind the seat.  If the tank has indeed bled down, no fuel will run out.  There is a post from   "DOC"   that had the hose diagram hook up connections.  Buy or make a hanging test tank to now supply the good/new fuel to the the carb.  Let bowl fill for say 10 sec.  Crank over engine.  If the engine fires right up, you have a drain down problem.  Also, while running, check if the fuel pump is indeed pulsing fuel to the mini tank and has refilled it.  From your description, it is working AFTER it gets running.  Fuel will flow out when un-capped if it is working AOK.  Catch can and rag use here for safety.

FIX  OPTIONS:  BE SURE THERE IS NO WATER OR PHASE SEPARATED OH FUEL IN TANK BOTTOM.

Cheapest (but not the best) is to buy a "foot valve" type intake fuel pick up "gumdrop" with a screen and install on the bottom of the in-tank pick up line.  Check the NEW dip tube length because you DO NOT want the gum drop rubbing a hole in the bottom of the plastic fuel tank.  Found a major mower OEM had this condition from the factory.....BAD.  Your machine may have already been fitted with a fuel tank bottom dip tube intake filter.....they sometimes get choked off.  The foot valve gumdrop pick up filter includes a spring loaded check valve ball to make it a one-way valve (check or foot using the water well plumbing term).  Fuel cannot now bleed down back into the fuel tank with gravity.....only evaporate from the carb bowl.

MY FAVORITE FIX:

Electric fuel pump.....low pressure version NOT FI.  WHY????  Many reasons!!!! 

1.     Ultimate fix for gas golf carts,...gas pedal to start cranking.  Grasshopper (Kubota 3 banger w\ mechanical fuel pump---COST to replace OEM, and other machines with the cheaper pulse type fuel pump (run one dry and then you have to puff up the fuel tank and fuel lines to get fuel back up to the stock cheaper pulse pump again-----THEY DON'T PUMP AIR.                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Example...My neighbor was mowing and run out of gas on his mega buck GREEN mower.....even filling the fender fuel tank was not enough to prime...portable air tank/detach fuel line to pump/ to the rescue.

2.     Switch off the electric fuel pump when finished mowing/riding and "run down" carb bowl fuel level to a "fast idle up"---lean mix---the carb bowl fuel now is almost empty.  When used the next time, turn on the IGN and the added fuel pump switch.....wait for the pump hum/thump to change sound and by golly, the carb bowl is full of new fuel (not cooked off crap) and ready to run.

3.     This dates me some, but 50's GM 6 banger/1 bbl Rochester  had a flooding problem in the Spring time.  Cold fuel in gas tank from overnight.  Drive to town (couple miles).  Load some feed.  Come back out to go back home and the winter blended gas cooked off and expanded and overflowed into the intake manifold.  Reason was the cold carb from fuel tank and it's normal damp cold icing problem....fuel now warms up because it is also sitting above the adjacent HOT exhaust manifold runners.  You would have to lift off the carb and soak up the liquid gas with a rag inside the intake manifold.  Drain the carb by dumping over and out the atmospheric vent.  Reinstall and cap the fuel filter inlet and do a WOT and pray the plugs weren't TOO WET for your 6 Volt system.......Oh! the good old days.  I have had "enclosed motor" mowers do the same thing by wetting down a less than clean burning plug.  Not good when there is only one plug.

AS for the mini fuel tank mounted behind the seat, it has problems supplying fuel to the carb IF you are climbing a steep bank or long hill.  Not enough head pressure for the increased fuel demand for the hard pull.  Electric fuel pump helps here also as the "over pressure" is vented back to the intake side and the mini tank is no longer required.

      Been waiting over a month and a half for a transmission from bobcat,  they claim the polaris transmission is different.   Can anyone verify that???

      Runs fine just putting around the yard. Get it out on the road and about a half miles it runs out of gas. Let it idle for a few minutes and it will run for another half mile and do it again. Replaced both fuel pumps and filter. Does anyone know if I can get rid of the factory fuel pump?

      Before I invest $10k+ into a brand new UTV for the farm, I want to get my feet wet with a fixer upper and learn the mechanical side of things. I acquired a 2022 Hisun Axis 500 (Lowes-specific model) from an auction for $500. It has only 200 hours and 120 miles on the engine. It looks like the previous owner used it for ranch work and didn't drive it on trails, deep water/mud, or anything too crazy.
      While it runs and moves, it has some problems. It struggles to accelerate up any incline in high and low range and sometimes stalls when I let off of the throttle or change gears. When I apply throttle in neutral, it sounds like it is struggling for fuel/air and pops. When I decelerate, there is a grinding sound coming from the clutch, which I've read to be related to the one way bearing and is semi-common. The last thing I've observed is sometimes the speedometer display sometimes will show a much higher value for a few seconds after barely touching the throttle. Based on the documentation, if a problem is detected from the sensors, the instrument panel display should have an error code rendered on the screen in place of the time, but this isn't happening.       I've done some research, but information on this specific unit and sister units is limited. There does seem to be transmission and clutch issues reported. I still need to check into the head gaskets. I don't have the equipment to test compression right now, but I do plan on ordering what is needed soon. I do have an order in place for some cables to read the diagnostics from the computer. There is a shop two hours away from me that works on Hisun products, but I am hoping the problem can be identified and is something within my ability to handle. Below is what I've already investigated.  I am leaning towards the primary clutch needing replacement right now.
      After getting it home and unloaded, I did the following maintenance/checks to it prior to operating it further:
      Changed the engine/clutch oil (and filter) and gear oils using manufacture recommended viscosity Changed the air filter and checked for cracks in the air intake flow. Verified good suction. Cleaned the throttle body Changed the spark plug and verified the gap was within spec (0.6-0.7mm) Changed the coil and coil wire Changed the fuel lines, fuel injector, and verified the fuel pump was outputting the correct initial prime pressure for ignition and continuous pressure after ignition. Also completely emptied the fuel tank and made sure octane 91+ fuel is being used per manufacturer specs. Ran seafoam through system too. Cleaned the spark arrester and verified no cracks or gaps in the exhaust flow Changed out the O2 sensor Checked all wired connections to ensure they were secured and no breaks were visible Checked the belt for tightness and for any signs of wear and tear Verified 4WD and the differential lock function as expected - still hesitates and struggles uphill Verified the fan gears in the shifter are not corroded and working as expected ECU was reset after replacing sensors and fuel-related parts

      Hello, All!  I've decided to replace the traction batteries in my 2018 Sector E1 with a 48V Lithium set. They may be expensive, but I figure the Discovery Dry Cell are, too. I am not looking for the max driving range, as I have never received near the brochured range to begin with, but a good mix of charge/ get work done/ charge is what I am expecting.
      I have settled on the 48V EAGL kit from bigbattery dot com. Each battery pack provides 30Ah. The kit ships with a charger, as well. The packs would be physically connected in parallel (using a busbar) to one another, maintaining the 48V voltage, but together would be able to provide the amp draw the buggy pulls when going up hill or towing a rake (rated 320 max continuous Amps). This is in comparison to the serial connection the eight 6V lead batteries. Each of the EAGL batteries looks to have its own BMS; am I correct in thinking I will have to use their included charger rather than (simply) changing the onboard charger to lithium mode? The chemistry of the pack is LiFe PO4, for what it's worth.  I haven't torn anything apart yet (to diagram), so  I am not sure how the dash will interpret the AMP draw, but the kit I am looking at includes a dash mounted charge indicator.
      If anyone has completed a similar conversion, do you have any tips? Specifically, how did you remove the original batteries, and how did you secure the new ones? I am guessing that almost any change from the stock batteries would involve at least some modifications. Any tips would be appreciated, especially things I may have failed to consider. Thanks!

      program will open in old Bud program only/ but will not go in BUDS 2 to let use program ECU problem working on has new engine/ new fuel pump/ injectors/ lines/ sensors/ crank sensor maps/ and new throttle body and injectors. machine starts runs a minute dies/ on 3 rd  try says key not recognized /we put other key in and same thing happens/wait 10 minutes, you can go again/ is there a back door in the program/ also might mention unplug temp sensor and map sensor , it will run a few minutes longer / then die again.
