My Axis 500 has been operating properly for almost a year with Zero problems. While I was away my granddaughter & friends were riding & playing in the snow. They went to the gas station to fill the tank & the vehicle would not start afterwards. I BEEN GIVING MULTIPLE STORIES: The ATV will not start. When I turn the key I can hear the fuel pump come on but nothing happens other than that.

- NO CLICK - NO OTHER NOISE

*I CHECKED THE BATTERY 12.43volts

*I replaced the solenoid inside the battery compartment.

Seems the next electrical component in line has battery connections IN & motor connections OUT with 2 other small wires connectedaswell(I do not know the name of this component).

Can anyone help?

I can not find an ordered list of electronic components starting at the battery.

Can anyone help with this?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Mine is doing the same thing. Can hear fuel pump when I turn the key. Checked spark plug and it's getting fire. I tried a new fuel injector and still nothing. Guess I will put a new fuel filter and try fuses, although fuses don't look blown.

Can both of you provide battery voltage? 12.43 will not do in many cases.

Would like to see 12.6 V DC

Put leads on battery while cranking. Post voltage reading while cranking.

Pull spark plug and see if it is wet after you hear fuel pump activate.

If plug is not wet......

Squirt a little fuel directly into throttle body and let us know if it starts.

Charge batteries to 12.6 min.

Post results,  both of you please

Just to confirm:

  • It ran OK when stopped for gas.
  • When turn key to start, no noises, no clicks, no nothing.

Q1: Does the dash light up as normal with the key in the "on" position?

Q2: If you use a wire to jump 12v to the starter solenoid, will the starter turn then? (Careful, be sure it doesn't take off on you if it starts).

Sounds like there is a safety interlock issue if it is not a blown fuse which you can easily check first.  With the fuel pump running as expected and I'll assume the dash lights up, but you get no response of any kind when turning key to start, I'd suspect some sensor is not in the "go mode".   Most of these UTVs require the the gear shift and trans to be in neutral position to allow the starter to turn.   Is the gear position indicator on the dash showing "N" or neutral?  Is the gear shift position sensor switch loose or inoperative?  That would certainly account for the symptoms you described.

I forgot to post, the problem with mine not starting was the spark plug. Even though the old plug showed it was firing through a tester, the side by side wouldn't start. Put a new plug in it and it fired right up.

Ya, testers can flash even when the plug is shorted to ground internally such as fractured insulators etc. when there is no spark at the electrode.  That's why I prefer to see the spark, its color and intensity at the plug tip.

Glad you found and fixed it.  Happy trails!

I have a 2011 or so Landmaster LM200.  I cannot get it to start.  I turn the key and nothing happens.  The brake switch seems to be working, the ignition switch works.  The Coil is new the Voltage Regulator is new and the starter relay is new.

I can connect the terminals on the starter relay and it starts right up and runs fine.  I just can't get it to start by turning the key.

I am having a bit of trouble bleeding the brakes, not much fluid comes out at the calipers when I am pumping the brakes, though that an air bubble near the brake switch might make it not sense that the brake pedal is depressed.

I am at a loss, please help!

I have a 2021 Axis(Hisun) 700 from Lowes. Will not start. Checked starter, solenoid, spark plug and fuel pump. Everything seems to be fine. The motor turns over and will try to start but just will not. Battery is also good. Frustrated!

Have a MSU 500 that we got from my wife's uncle a while back. We've had it running and hauling around the property but it stopped a few months ago after what I thought was running out of gas and I'm just getting to looking into it.
Had fuel to the injector but nothing coming out the injector so swapped with new injector and installed inline filter in the supply hose from fuel pump. Tried again and still nothing but noticed this time that I can't hear the fuel pump priming.
Pulled off the electrical connection and I'm getting 12V to the fuel pump but it won't run. Put it on a test bench and got it to run so put test lamp between +ve and -ve terminals on the connector and nothing. Checked against the passenger seat securing post and get a light.
Tried chasing the wire back and think that the ground is through the ECU but not 100% sure. Can someone confirm for me? And if it is through the ECU, is the ECU just grounded against the frame or is it wired through to the battery?
Thanks in advance and hope this all make sense!

Can anyone please tell me or send a link as to how & where to hook up a code reader to my 2021 Hisun 500 Axis.  I have a 6 pin to a 18 pin  adaptor and the blue cord VAG KKL adaptor .Just not sure where or what to hook up to. Can I use your typical vehicle code reader or do I need to download something on a laptop or PC???
