We're looking at the Axis 750 at Lowe's. It's the one with the two flat screens in the dash board.  The Lowe's store tells me there are no "Service Centers" for them in our area(upper east Tennessee).  Now, I've had Chinese products before, namely the ODES 650 UTV.  It was a real piece of crap.  Are these worth the $12,000 or should I go somewhere else.  I like everything about the Axis 750 but skittish.  I was told back in October of last year that Axis has not provided any Service Manuals on these models at all.  And that the usual UTV repair places won't touch them.  Anyone that has these, what kind of issues have you had?  What should I look out for, just in case?  Thanks in advance. :)

I have a 2022 750 Axis, 4 seater. Cracked an air/oil separator, super glue saved the day. I had the radiator temp sensor go bad, discovered when dash light came on. Immediately shut down and installed a bypass toggle switch, replaced sensor and no problems since. It's very important to never run it hot, leads to lifelong problems IMHO.  I'm around 250 hours and no more issues.  The oil filter is tough to remove, but a strap wrench over sandpaper works every time. Fit and finish, you get what you pay for. My experience seems to be a lot better than most others. But I bought knowing I'd be doing the work myself. I've followed the maintenance schedule strictly to include the valve adjustments. I'm satisfied, and a bit lucky.

I don’t have much too add I have an Axis 500. I wish it had power steering is my only issue. My wife rolled it and tore out the passengers front end. I put it back together with mostly parts off Amazon for around $300. I was skeptical about buying it but after a year I have found io be pretty tough and reliable. I believe the issues we hear about the way people drive them I.e. my wife. $12000 is reasonable in the utv market and I wish I had the 750 for the additional power . I would say go for it.

I bought a new Hisun Sector 750 in Jan '21. I have less than 100 hours on it (I'm away 6 months of the year). I use it on our 75ac primarily for hauling firewood and occasionally logs. The only issue I've had with it over 4 years is that one day it started pulling hard to the left - it was almost impossible to control. Fortunately I found an actual Hisun repair shop within 10mi. - they cleaned all the electrical connections and that solved the problem (apparently the dealer where I bought it should have done this pre-delivery). When I had the first oil/filter change done, the shop found that the exhaust was missing a spring & bolt, which they replaced.

Other than those couple of minor issues it has served me well. Note that I don't abuse it and I keep it stored in a shed.

For the price and the features I couldn't find anything comparable. Based on others' stories here not everyone has had similar luck with them.

Best of luck in your search.

My Mother-in -law bought an AXIS 750XS from LOWES for around $12,000 about two years ago. . She lived on our land and so I did the upkeep on her UTV. It has quit working now.  The dashboard screens will not come on. The battery shows 12.9 to13.1 Volts. This UTV comes with a key fob. I have tried so  so very many combinations of clicking the three buttons on the key fob (makes the red LED on the fob blink) as well as the start button. push  release and push again.  Once in a while the dash screens would come on and I could actually start the thing.  It took a few minutes of clicking the FOB and mashing the start switch t get it to start. And now it is completely dead. Thinking of hot wiring it and bypassing the key fob and start push button.

      Hello,
Before I invest $10k+ into a brand new UTV for the farm, I want to get my feet wet with a fixer upper and learn the mechanical side of things. I acquired a 2022 Hisun Axis 500 (Lowes-specific model) from an auction for $500. It has only 200 hours and 120 miles on the engine. It looks like the previous owner used it for ranch work and didn't drive it on trails, deep water/mud, or anything too crazy.
While it runs and moves, it has some problems. It struggles to accelerate up any incline in high and low range and sometimes stalls when I let off of the throttle or change gears. When I apply throttle in neutral, it sounds like it is struggling for fuel/air and pops. When I decelerate, there is a grinding sound coming from the clutch, which I've read to be related to the one way bearing and is semi-common. The last thing I've observed is sometimes the speedometer display sometimes will show a much higher value for a few seconds after barely touching the throttle. Based on the documentation, if a problem is detected from the sensors, the instrument panel display should have an error code rendered on the screen in place of the time, but this isn't happening. Here is a video showing some of these issues (engine is exposed with console removed):

Here is another video of the clutches in action:

I've done some research, but information on this specific unit and sister units is limited. There does seem to be transmission and clutch issues reported. I still need to check into the head gaskets. I don't have the equipment to test compression right now, but I do plan on ordering what is needed soon. I do have an order in place for some cables to read the diagnostics from the computer. There is a shop two hours away from me that works on Hisun products, but I am hoping the problem can be identified and is something within my ability to handle. Below is what I've already investigated.  I am leaning towards the primary clutch needing replacement right now.
After getting it home and unloaded, I did the following maintenance/checks to it prior to operating it further:
Changed the engine/clutch oil (and filter) and gear oils using manufacture recommended viscosity Changed the air filter and checked for cracks in the air intake flow. Verified good suction. Cleaned the throttle body Changed the spark plug and verified the gap was within spec (0.6-0.7mm) Changed the coil and coil wire Changed the fuel lines, fuel injector, and verified the fuel pump was outputting the correct initial prime pressure for ignition and continuous pressure after ignition. Also completely emptied the fuel tank and made sure octane 91+ fuel is being used per manufacturer specs. Ran seafoam through system too. Cleaned the spark arrester and verified no cracks or gaps in the exhaust flow Changed out the O2 sensor Checked all wired connections to ensure they were secured and no breaks were visible Checked the belt for tightness and for any signs of wear and tear Verified 4WD and the differential lock function as expected - still hesitates and struggles uphill Verified the fan gears in the shifter are not corroded and working as expected ECU was reset after replacing sensors and fuel-related parts

      Thanks!

I have an Axis 500 and never had any problems until now,it cuts out
at around half throttle. I changed the TPS with no difference, acts like the seatbelts aren't set but can get up to around 15 mph as long as I don't give it too much gas, thanks for any advice

Hi everyone and I hope that is not a too forward questions for us newbies.
My husband and I are ready (next Spring) to open our newly developed nudist campground in Iowa and we are now looking for interesting activities to host.
Don't worry we are not going to try and sell you a membership because as of 2 weeks ago all of our 50 campsites are sold out for the 2024 season.
It was my job to sell site and now that is complete i am looking for interesting actives host for weekend.
We have 300 acres of woods, grassland, swamps and 2 small ponds/lakes and dozens of miles of riding trails.
we have gotten county approval for the complete 300 acres to be clothing optional.
We think we have a great spot for a weekend or several day ATV / mudder event.
Clothing would be optional for all participants and plenty of room for overnight camping and outdoor group showers.
Now we are looking to you pro  ATV riders to let us know if you think your group of people would fit in with ours.
Feel free to ask anything you would like to get a better idea of what we offer.

Onto the next problem, everything has been replaced in the charging system except the Flywheel Rotor, I have it torn apart all the way down to said rotor, but it is suggested that a specific puller is required, and a compatible rotor seems virtually impossible to find.  I can find many like it, but this one is mine scenario for those that get the reference.  For all I know I have the last Massimo Buck 400S on the planet and will never find another part again, but who knows.  Any ideas, help or otherwise that anyone might have would be greatly appreciated.
