      I was driving the UTV the other day when it simply died. I was using the sprayer which might have drained the 3 year old battery and the stator didn't recharge it. I towed it to my shop and charged the battery . The next morning it cranked first time and I drove it home . I parked it and turned it off . I then tried to crank it and it would only make a weak click noise . I changed the battery and the voltage regulator but it would still only click. I noticed on the digital display that the reverse light was illuminated and would stay illuminated no matter what gear I selected . If I put it in low that light would light but the reverse light stayed on . Same thing for neutral . I shorted the two poles on the starter solenoid with the key on and it cranked up easily and idled fine. You could put it in reverse and it would move backwards  and you could put it in low and it would drive forward. The entire time the reverse light stayed on . I checked the fuses and they all looked good . So lets say I get a new started solenoid . If I replace it and it now starts with the key what is the issue with the reverse light . Is it harmful? What else needs to be done to correct ? Any ideas out there.

      Some time ago unit stalled going uphill towing a small motorcycle. Some smoke and smell of rubber burning. Removed belt and it looked ok but the case area was grimy with grease-like sludge. Cleaned it all out and installed new belt and front variator pulley assembly. Within a few minutes of running it was destroyed in pieces—this was low speed but uphill, with jerking/stuttering. 
      I then opened it up and removed the belt remains, but reinstalled the old belt. It runs again but again has the stuttering/jerking when accelerating from stop, or when slowing down to about 1-2mph…changed transaxle fluid and no difference.
      Any ideas?

      I'm having a problem with my Hisun E1 and it's not charging. There is a flashing red light on the charging section of the console and the error code "038.E" on the charger itself (underneath). Does anyone know what the code means or what the problem might be?
      Any help would be much appreciated!

      If you pay any attention to your UT400, you have probably noticed that the right front wheel tips in at the top a LOT.  The left fronts seem to be about right from what I've seen.  I look at them all when I'm at different stores just to see if they're all that way, and yes, they all seem to be that way.
      There "should" be adjustments on either the ball joints or the inner pivot points, but these are solid, not way to adjust them.
      I have the UT400 up on my 2-post lift and the right spindle seems to be around 3-deg tipped in at the top and the left spindle is about straight or maybe half a degree tipped in.  This is at full suspension drop, not ride height.  I took the shocks off and rotated the spindles from bottom travel to full max up travel, way more than the shocks will allow.  The higher the spindle lift, the more tip in there is on both spindles.  This is true because of the unequal upper and lower A-arms.  It's just the nature of of the dual A-arms and them being unequal in length.
      I took the inner pivot 8mm bolts out and inserted a lot smaller 1/4" bolts and pushed the lower A-arm inward and the angle on the spindle decreased.  I then took the top inner bolts out and did the same thing, but pulled out instead.  This got the spindle equal to angle of camber on the left side.  I used the offset in the holes to see how much I need to go on the lower alone.  I was also concerned about bottoming out the axle assembly because the spindle centerline will not be a bit closer to the front diff.  But as it all turned out, it was not close to bottoming out.
      I cut about 1/4" out of the two 1" A-arm tubes as they were welded to the lower ball joint mount casting.  I tack welded them back together and trial fit it all together.  That seemed to be about right.  I took it all back apart and welded it up solid.  Now it all looks to match the left side quite well.
      Also want to use this in our yard and the stock tires are NOT turf friendly, especially with the solid "spool" rear differential.  I found these on Amazon, 25x12-12" and 25x8-12" hard pack race tires as they're called.  They're 6-ply and tubeless.  The initial probably I had was that the size rating was not even close to the actual size.  They said, install and then recheck the diameters and I did.  They did get larger, but the rears are more than 1" smaller in diameter than the side wall stamping.  Instead of 25", they're 23.75" tall.  What I DON'T WANT are shorter tires.  I had already purchased the used wheels at 12" to match the original factory diameter, but in hindsight I would now opt for 14" wheels with 4x110mm bolt pattern and would have been able to find a tire in the 27" diameter range a lot easier and cheaper.  Live and learn they say.

      Third voltage regulator on this unit. Purchased from Lowes in FEB of 2022.  
      At that time, I was not using a battery tender. Garage kept and would start it up and use around the yard and weekends at the hunt club property. While using in the yard, let it idle while collecting leaves, etc.  while driving. unit cut off. Jumped started unit and recharged battery and checked for output voltage reading at battery. 12.3 and no change at 1k rpms. on 6/13/22 took unit to Authorized Dealer for 1st oil and filter change/ lube job along with possible Warranty Claim Work for a no charging issue. Dealer checked Battery which was, ok and replaced voltage regulator. (Listed action not part number on invoice ($140 for part). Dealer absorbed warranty claim cost until HISUN would pay the dealer. All was well.
      10/19/22: previous weekend at the hunting property, the damn thing would not re-start......deep in the woods...... luckily, I had brought a battery source to jump if needed. This saved me. when back home ordered a regulator from eBay and replaced the faulty one that was the original one. Found this with additional investigating and pics taken prior to the dealer having the unit for the issue.
      7/9/23: well seems the unit is need of another rectifier.  Not charging the battery. had not been using a battery tender but will use it going forward. seems if the battery goes down the charging system will not bring it back, the charging system is there to maintain the battery voltage.
      I usually do not run the stock light during the day and rarely use the unit at night. Did add a 32" LED light bar, but have it switched and have rarely used that up to now.  When I replaced the second regulator and checked the voltage output, it was showing 14.0 volts at 1K RPMs and ran well.   I am hoping the third one will be a charm and that using a batter tender will keep it all happy and work as intended.
