2012 4010 mule trans

I'm a new member, and want /need to pick someone's brain here.

this mule was not running very well. Idling rough and appeared to be flooding.

After reading as much as I could, I decided to buy and install a new throttle body. I installed the new throttle body today and it runs good up the road, but I can't get the thing to idle. 

when first cranked, the engine goes to wide open even though the throttle is in the rest mode.

It never did this with the old throttle body. 

Is a new throttle body plug and play, or does it need to be programmed ?, Or, is there something wrong with this new throttle body ?

Any in site to my problem  is greatly appreciated

Welcome to the forum!

Travis is absolutely correct about the manual. And as to your problem, it's possibly a sensor issue. Specifically, what would be a throttle position sensor. Although I have no idea what it's called on the mule. But it tells the throttle body how much gas, and air it needs. 

I say possibly, because it could easily be a combination of problems causing the issue. Or a wiring problem. Since i'm assuming that it's likely CPU controlled, you'll need to find the trouble codes.

Mine was doing the same thing and I pulled the fuel pump and below it was a gummed up fuel filter.  Changing it out corrected the problem.  It now runs and idles fine.  I bought a bunch of filters off amazon but understand there is a larger aftermarket filter available.  Anyone know where to get it?

      So far, I'm looking at the Honda Pioneer 1000 and the Polaris Ranger 1000, both of which have 1000-1500 lb payload bed capacity.

      Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone pressure washes their Mule underbody. Three years in, I have yet to do this. I'm worried that the pressure washer could damage or dislodge something but it's gotten to the point that it could use a bath. Any thoughts?

      Bobcat 2200 dump bed relay pops fuse and stalls after warm

      I had to remove the relay for the dump bed due to it popping the fuse for main key power. I have tried to find a short but nothing seems to out of normal. I also disconnected the dump motor and switch and still pops the fuse. Also, when the machine is warmed up i get about 5 to 10 of work out of before it stalls. Once I can get it to start again I have to use the choke to keep it running.

      My dad has recently acquired a 2510 Kawasaki mule Diesel powered. It worked fine  few weeks and then quit driving. Put a new belt on just to see. Still not driving. It already had a new clutch. Belt turns when in drive or reverse and back wheels are off ground to test. But wheels not turning. Thoughts?

      Mule 4010 trans overheating

      Hello, I have a mule 4010 trans that appeared to overheat based on the temperature light on the dash and it went into limp mode.  No steam though.  After letting it cool and the next day, I drove it around quite a bit and it did not have any problems.  Any ideas on this.  Do thermostats work intermittently?  I would like to fix the problem, looking for advice.  Many thanks
