Massimo 2017 MSU500 won't idle when fuel is not topped off.

Interesting problem.   My Massimo runs great - but when the fuel level drops just a bit, it just stops.    It restarts easily, but I have to keep my foot on the accelerator pedal.   When I top it off with gas, it again runs fine.   I already replaced the fuel pump, but that didn't work.

Thanks for your help!

If a pickup tube in the gas tank were disconnected or maybe cracked, that could explain why the engine quits after the fuel level drops (to a point where the fuel pump is pumping air).  The fuel pump draws fuel from the bottom of the tank.  But that doesn't explain why the engine runs if you hold a little accelerator pedal.  Is the fuel tank vent tube plugged somewhere between the fuel tank and the charcoal canister?  Remove the fuel filler cap to see if a vacuum in the tank is causing a loss of fuel supply.  Is the carburetor getting adequate fuel?

I just watched a YouTube video on your fuel gauge problem.  Might or might not be of help.

On your other problem with the engine not running when fuel is slightly low, make sure your fuel lines (supply and return) are not swapped on top of the fuel pump.  I don't know if it is physically possible, but it's worth checking out.

Try blowing out injector.  Mine  did same thing. Had plastic particles in it I’m guessing from inside gas tank as it’s all plastic anyway, maybe a burr from injection machine that form it??  Mine since idles fine after warming up a few seconds. Hope this info helps!

(posted a similar question to the Hisun folks) Looked at a lot of UTVs lately. Couple Questions about Massimo. Some people say they are just cheap with no customer service. Other people seem to have no problems with them.
      Any opinions on Massimo durability?
Heard parts might hard to get. Is that true?
      What models are the best?
If you had one and didn't like it what do you recommend?

Less than 40 miles can barely start. Dealer is working with Hisun on a number of other issues on this UTV. Can not get clear info on the meaning of these E codes this is getting. Anybody have some clear info for me?

I have a Bennche 700 EFI Bighorn. I’ve recently been unable to get it to start. After a little troubleshooting I realized my fuel pump was not pumping fuel. This weekend I emptied the gas and replaced it with new. I replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter and fuel injector. I also replaced the battery, spark plug and made sure all my fuses and relays were good. I have confirmed that the float on the fuel pump is not obstructed. The UTV is about 12 years old and has less than 100 hours on it. It has not run in over a year.  Not sure whats going on?!? After doing a little reading I'm leaning towards it being an issue with the ECU or perhaps a faulty wire in the wiring harness. Anyone have any ideas on where to start looking or what I could be dealing with? Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

hello everyone, i just joined this forum to try my luck, few days ago i bought an old (dont know exactly), 2011/14 hi sun 500cc ""carburated"",  was not running at the time, but i fell was a good deal and decided it to bring it home to play with it, this is the issue, i bought and installed a new carb, and pump, i repositioned the battery location and upgraded to a "car batt", reconnected the fuel lines and started it, but it only runs with the choke ON, i checked the bowl, it does have fuel, but for some reason wont inject it to run, i came across a video that say that ""the body small tank had to be connected for the cart to run" (was deleted when bought), sure enough i got it to run sporadically , but the so called ""small body tank'' often runs out of fuel and wont refill itself , i had to couple times do it manually, so how does that small tank works ?..what does it do?..and why if  bypass it , the cart wont start?....any help?..thanks so much!!!

So I've got a Hisun 550 that I was doing some work on that required removing the CVT and it's housing. Upon attempting to reinstall the clutch, sheaves, etc, I found that the belt no longer fits - it's far too wide. None of the parts have been replaced, they're all OEM. Exactly the same parts as what I took off a few weeks ago.
To be more specific, my belt is 1.25in wide, but the gap between the clutch and the primary sheave is only 7/8in wide. I'll include a few photos to explain.
Has anyone ever experienced such a bizarre problem? Any help at all would be appreciated, I've been stuck on this for a month. I'm open to just about any suggestion.
