Hi All, I have a 2004 Ranger which had an oil leak at the corner of the head gasket. I have replaced the Gasket twice along with a resurface the second time. I have performed all the re torqueing,  used the updated OEM Gaskets direct from Polaris etc...It still leaks.

Now I also have a 2017 Ranger XP 1000.  It leaks too - at pretty much the same location as the 2004. Only 150 miles driven. Does anyone have any suggestions that I need to consider before repairing it ? I'd like to get this done in one attempt. With only 150 miles on it - I'm kind of bummed on Polaris at the moment. I'd appreciate any suggestions here.

Wow that is quite a leak!

Whenever i have trouble diagnosing an oil leak, i use the UV dye... because oil leaks don't always come from where you think they are.

I repaired a briggs engine with it, another "pro" shop replaced the crankcase gasket, oil seals etc, to stop a leak that gathered dirt all under the engine, i removed the engine, cleaned it up really good.  put it on a test stand,  put some dye in the oil, and within a few minutes, an $2.00 O-Ring that seals the oil pump cover began weeping oil... very rare for one of those to leak.

I have a 2007 Joyner 1100 sand viper and  before it even get's to where the thermostat opens up the oil pressure get's so low I have to shut it down. What could fix this ? I thought about adding an oil cooler with fan, thicker oil, or removing the thermostat. Any advice?

2004 250DL DIRT DEVIL. Hey y’all, I already know this is a long shot. But I am looking for a the “prick gear” assembly that makes reverse work for my external reverse gearbox. OEM PN D250.08.103 and its assembly. I bought the kart as a basket case, but I saw that the reverse box was present so I was optimistic.  Upon starting working on the buggy I realized there was a block off plate in plate of there the normal gear would be. If my understanding is correct that means the transmission no longer has reverse gear. I figured it’s just a standard bevel gear and I could probably find a gear to make work, but I don’t want to spend the time making all the other housing parts to shim the gear perfectly. Has anyone spare parts, or figured out an aftermarket solution from McMaster? I already know it’ll be a challenge to get this box to be happy again, but figured I would ask

I replaced the stator on our Bennche 500 because it was not charging. It ran as long as you kept the battery charged. I replaced the stator now it’s not firing. The only problem I found was a wire in the new stator for the crank position sensor was in the wrong place in the plug. I switched it around but still no fire. Putting a meter on those wires and cranking the motor showed no voltage from the crank position sensor. Something I did or a bad “new “ part? Thanks for any ideas.
