I have a 2018 Massimo MSU 500. I was riding and it just shut down. No noise or anything. Got fire and fuel. It will not crank. Also timing chain is not moving.  Was wondering if anyone has run into this. If there was a cam sensor or any other sensor that would do this, or is the engine just done. Thanks for any information..

How do you know that it's getting fire, and fuel, if it doesn't crank over? Did you mean that it won't start?

If it cranks, you need to see if the timing chain is either broken, or the gears that it drives are slipping. Maybe it just lost the woodruff key?

Either way, I wouldn't count it out just yet. It could easily be something simple.

I could get spark if the crankshaft and stator are working, but if the camshaft is not turning then you could have a broken timing chain , a broken camshaft or the bolts backed off the timing gear that connects to the camshaft.  I have seen this situation many times on motorcycles.  Take off your camshaft cover and turn over the engine and you should find the problem right away, usually an easy fix.

Next problem with charging system to tackle, any help would be appreciated.
      New starter solenoid....check
      New Voltage Regulator...check.
Dynamic test to Stator.....bang...pulling like 2 Volts AC
Problem: Without pulling the part out and stranding the vehicle at the shop forever.... I am trying to find the correct stator or at least one that might not be exact for the Massimo Buck 400S, but fit and connect and do the job if that makes sense.... if anyone has any ideas, please shoot them my way.

I posted this before , but I had the year wrong. The part I need is for a 2014, I don't know what all years will work, but I need the 2 bearing style with the spacer in the middle. It looks like this pic. If anyone has one I'll buy it rite away. my email is [email protected]. Thanks, RC

I have an 850. It’s been overheating. The electric fan is not kicking on. I see the temperature switch going into the radiator, but there’s no wire plugging in to it or none to be found in the area. i’m thinking I might’ve hooked on a branch and it ripped out the harness on that part. Does anybody have a picture or no where that plugs into on the harness? On the top of the firewall, I did notice some plugs that have nothing plugged into it. I was wondering if it’s a harness that goes from there down to the radiator that was pulled off

Hope I posted this in the right place. Looking for the left side shaft carrier where the rear bearings go for an 1100cc sand viper, I understand an 800 cc carrier will also work. I need the old style two bearing with the spacer in the middle, the new style with just the one wide bearing wont work. If anybody has one I'll buy it right away. my email is [email protected]

Hi, I purchased a used Cub Cadet 750 Challenger that seemed like the belt was slipping so I put a new belt in.  It still acts like the belt is slipping but now I am thinking it is the clutch?
What is the best way to remedy this problem?
      Can the clutch be rebuilt?
      Are there aftermarket clutches available?
