I'm a neophyte in the side-by-side world and am a bit overwhelmed trying to find a used UTV. I want one that can fit the family of four and possibly two dogs plus camping equipment. We will be traveling slowly and cautiously over fire roads and other gravel roads. Just want something that is reliable and able to traverse the backcountry roads.

Kawasaki sells their 4010 models in a 4 seat conversion with standard cargo bed as well a Polaris with their Ranger Crew. Those would be the top 2  used models i would look at. Possible the polaris ranger crew would be better as it has a little more suspension travel and supposed smoother ride.

Honda does sell a 4 seater,, but they sacrificed the cargo bed for 2 more seats, so there is very little room for storage, unless you pack it all on the roof.

I want to ditch my Kubota RTV-XG850 and its moronic twitchy throttle design flaw, get rid of the problematic engine and the 40 mph purposely throttled speed.
So far, I'm looking at the Honda Pioneer 1000 and the Polaris Ranger 1000, both of which have 1000-1500 lb payload bed capacity.
What other makes and models should I be looking at?

      Thanks for the help!

I have an Axis 500 4x4 UTV that I was given.  It looks like an almost new machine with 39 hrs on it however it was apparently under water from the hurricane . I have no spark at the plug. I have replaced the plug, the plug wire, & the stator so far. Can anyone advise me of what i need to check and or replace to get this thing running? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

hello, my BMS Stallion 600 is having accleration issues. the manual fails to show final gear oil diagrams very well... I have the owners manual and suspect issue is associated to transmission , I want to check the level of the gearoil. I located a drain plug (but not the fill plug nor dipstick). It will run - but wont exceede 2mph. Troubleshooting suggestions or comprehensive manual suggestions? Thanks
