Enjoying getting a 2020 Coleman HS400 UTV-5 basket case put back together.

Finally got to start the engine tonight and let it warm up.

Have been able to find most of the missing pieces on ebay, motorcycle doctor, etc., but now I am looking for a cvt clutch cover.

It appears to be the same as HISUN, MASSIMO, Bennche, and some others but can't put my finger on one yet.

coleman power sports shows it on their site so I ordered it and got an order confirmation but haven't heard boo since and can't get a response to my inquires.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Glenn

Glenn,

I can't seem to even find a cbt cover in any of the parts diagrams. Weird. I have heard of people melting them, and have personally melted one of a polaris atv.

Any chance you have a part number from coleman we can cross reference? I know getting parts from them can be notoriously slow.

Thanks for the quick response!

I have been using parts diagrams from the Coleman Powersports site for the UT400. So far everything is checking out. This is the link:  https://www.colemanpowersportsusa.com/parts/utvsidebysideparts/Outfitter400UT400

On the "CRANKCASE COVER" page

# 19  CVT Clutch Cover (/11420-003-0000)  P0030001152A0000  for $64.99

#27 CLUTCH COVER GASKET P003000115230000  for $2.99

I should also mention that I have placed an order for these 2 items (#19 & #27) but cannot seem to get any confirmation that my order is in process?

Maybe I just need to be more patient but this buggy is going to be road worthy by this coming weekend (July 23)!

I am not comfortable taking it into the dusty woods without this cover?

Otherwise it does appear like it will operate fine without it?

Thanks again!

Punch in the parts numbers (the ones that end in 000) It shows the cover as $82.15.

The cover is vented to it will let dust thru. It is mainly to keep mud/water from splashing on it, and stuff from getting stuck in it. These things are adapted from ATV's and the engine/driveline setups are the same. On an atv your foot/pants would risk getting sucked up in the belt. I think you should be ok driving around with the cover off as long as you don't drive thru any big puddles or over a bumch of loose brush.

Thanks again!

I will check out that option.

And honestly, it would be near impossible to keep me from driving it.

When it fired after 2 weeks of re-assembly, I jumped up and down like a kid! (@64 years old)

I just love working on this kind of thing.

Riding out today it acted like it ran out of gas,  stalled and died and would not start.   Towed back to house,  New  plug added this past month,  plenty of oil, getting plenty of gas, battery cranks good.   Trys to kick in and starts but doesnt.   Two days prior while sitting at a idle it died.  Added gas and it started did my ranch chores with it.  But just now it stalled out cranks but will not start.   Tried to find if fault codes came up on the clock like manual says but not sure I am doing that right.  Any and all help apprecated.  Thank you

I’m getting a 700-7 every startup. I’m having to change the plug every 100 miles on 93 octane gas. I got a lower numbered plug that is supposed to burn hotter. I’m wondering why that comes up every time I start it and if it’s related? I included a picture of the code or whatever it is. I haven’t seen the code in the owners manual or the hisun shop manual I have.

I just bought a new 2024 Hison 550 Stryker 2 months ago. this is the second time I have had this issue.  It only has about 20 hours on it. The last time it happened we took it back to the dealer. it was a fuse.  Since we live three-hour time driving there and back. I would like to find another solution if possible.  I have tried all the fuses that seem to have anything to do with starting.  Currently checking the battery. The battery is new. it came with the unit. It is probably 6 months old.  the UTV has all power to everything electrical. lights turn signals and radio all work.  When trying the key to start . it is 100% dead. as in it doesn't even click.  There is a low whirring like the fuel pump is turning on though. The Unit was running and driving just fine.  we shut it down for the night. The next morning my wife found it in this condition.  Thanks for any Ideas or solutions???   Otherwise, it goes back to the dealer tomorrow. Just hope I didn't buy a lemon. Great little UTV when it does run.😅  anyone else ever have this Issue..?
