  1. Its good to be back. I have lots of catcing up to do. We have had our house for sale and in May it sold and we did not have internet untill yesterday. We lived with my father for 6 weeks and then waited 3 more for phone and internet services. We bought a lake home and have been very buisy. I have not even had time to ride but Iwill be making up for lost time. I hope you are all doing well and having a great time.

  2. A code reader for a car will not work for the Trooper. The code reader for this is a stand alone item and about 2 grand. If you have a good dealer near by they might have one but other then that i would try what Lenny has said he is the man when it comes to this thing!

  3. I grew up in Kansas and loved it as a kid. As an adult the winters are tougher than I am. You are always welcome to come South and visit in the winter IF you bring your Trooper. Make sure we are here as it gets too cold here and we head further South. Can't even take the 50s in the daytime and the freezing nights, LOL! When I stopped skiing, I had NO further use for snow & cold. Skiing was the only way I could ever justify winter with snow.

Some day we may have to do just that. It sounds like you have some cool places to ride down there. So is everything running good for you?

  4. Well I am still here. Lost my mom on Oct. 13 and have not been doing alot. I should have been making the most out of the unseasonably warm weather and lack of snow. I still need to put the shim and bolt kits in the diffs which I have had for several months but our house is for sale and I hate to start a project now.

  5. I was kind of wondering where everyone has been too. I've been working on fall yard work to get ready for our short colder weather but that's done now. Also been working on fine tuning my suspension. The more I play with it the better it gets. Starting to better understand some of the fine points like when I need a little more or less dampening rather then more or less spring rate. I use a video camera to film going through various rough stuff. This gives me a good idea of just how the wheels are responding to not only the bump but the rebound rate. If I feel something, I film and then see if I can see it. Getting close. Electric steering is getting close. Kinarfi is just finishing up some details. I'm excited about just how powerful yet gentle it appears it is going to be especially with kinarfi's Smart Controller. Starting to look at the planitary gear setup again. Have decided to put them mid axel. Much easier and think I can get them in the room available. Will probably use electric selonids to activate them so will be able to switch back and forth.

Joyner is going to be in the near future .Doing a warranty on all troopers -renegade diffs. At no charge parts warranty.

    Richard

Does this include those of use who do not have any warranty left?

  7. Silverbullet.

The Joyner pre filter is n/g.You need K&N Precharger the precharge is Silicone coated. And it has to fit real tight.

Are all K&N pre filters impregnated with silicone? I was under the impression only the ones for personal water craft were.

  8. Started cleaning my air filter and the way I usually do it is to roll it in gas to cut the oil, then wash it with dish soap and water, including a hose end sprayer, then blow the water out of it with the discharge from my shop vac, then dip it in gas that has filter oil in it and let it dry. Got to the blow the water out stage and noticed there were places with no filter element present. New K&N RC-4160 Air Filter: $48.99 +tx, will be at Autozone tomorrow.

Any body have any thing to say about this method? Is gas washing to harsh?

    Thanks,

    Kinarfi

I use simple green and have not had a problem.
