  1. Not sure if you guys care if I talk on here with you guys too....

Just wanted to let you all know that Joyner has done away with the electronic actuators. I guess all the problems with actuators finally got them to get rid of them. New units dealers are now getting all have the new feature. You now change from 2x4 to 4x4 using a lever just like the front and rear lockers, so intead of the electronics its now run using a cable. So no more problems yeah! So next time your actuator goes out, try calling Joyner and asking how much they want for the new setup, it cant be much more than those damn actuators.

Glad to have you here. I know you have or had another site but this has to be the most helpful place for Joyner owners. At least Trooper owners. A lot of good scratch that great people and knowledge here. Again glad to have you.

  2. No I didn't take any pics of that but I do have pics of the T2 with the tracks on it. I will see if I can figure out how to post them.

How do the tracks work in the snow. I am considering getting some but have been waiting to here how they work in deep snow 2-3' or more.

  3. our electric steering kit comes out to 1,099 right now and shipping just depends on location. like I said alot of the sanctioned series drivers are using them now

Most of the people here are doing it for a few hundred dollars instead of a thousand. There are at least three that I know of that have built power steering for the trooper and i would be surprised if anyone spent more then five hundred. I would like power steering but I will build one before I spend a grand for one. I realise that is what the manufacturers are charging but a lot of people cant afford or are just not willing to spend that much after spending $12,000 on the ride.

  4. don't have any Idea yet. I assume you want one like mine, that is stock steering rack and pinion. Want to trade for installed shocks?

OH yea FYI, My set up died due to stripped gears, so I have to change the gear and I'll report on that when I get it done, pretty soon, but for a long time, it did not have an end of travel current limit set up. I'm sure that contributed to the stripped gear, I going to look for some metal gears, but haven't seen any yet. If you have a power wheels ride on toy for your kids, steal the motor and gear box off it.

If you can get another set of plastic gears you could have them cast in metal. I used to work in a dental lab and cast lots of stuff. Check with one in your area and I bet they would do it for you.

  5. The closest dealer is three states away the dealer I bought it from is a joke and has not helped with anything at all. But what is the excuse for not returning calls or emails. I will not cut them any slack for poor customer service. Its easy for you if your a dealer but what about those of us who aren't and cant get any help? I have had it for almost a year and have only been able to drive it for 4 months it took 6 months to get a new fuel tank when that broke. They need to take care of the people that already have one or people will quit buying new ones.

  6. I have tried calling and always get an answering machine. I finally started dialing 0 for the extension and get to talk to some one and then get transferred to the proper person. I have not had good luck with them though. Last fall after only having my T2 for only 2 months I called and told them about the problem I was having with the rear diff and got no help. After reading all of the posts on this and other sites I Know they were aware of the problem and did not help. I called and talk to I think Jeff and he told me he would get right back to me well that was 5 weeks ago. That is the kind of service I have consistently gotten from Joyner. I was seriously thinking about starting a dealership but not a chance in hell now. I hope you have better luck. Sorry about the rant but I am VERY UPSET with the service or lack there of.

  7. Well I have had an absolute crap of a week. My Uncle who has been fighting cancer for 20 years has finally lost his battle but the real shock was the man who designed and made my Renegade Enclosure, Leigh at only 47 years old, passed away, however my 98 year old Grandma, bless her, survived 3 small Strokes this week.

kandlinaz, don't throw away those soft doors, your need them for winter but I would suggest you upgrade the zips. If you don't, your know what I mean the next time you go through mud with them. Upgrade to thick plastic marine grade zips.

I am sorry to here that I hope next week is better. My mother has been fighting cancer for fifteen years ten year's ago she was sent home to die after her bone marrow transplant did not take. But some how she pulled through and was cancer free for ten years. Three months ago she was given two months and she is still here but it is only a matter of time. She has to get blood and platelets one or two times a week and that will only work for so long.

  8. You know this is so F@%$ed up that they would not take care of it for you. I hate to say it but I am starting to get discouraged. I only got it last August put about 500 kilometers on it and the fuel tank broke now the diff. I waited 6 months for a tank now the rear diff thing if I have to get a new one it will be at least another 6 months. I think I will be calling Joyner again tomorrow and give them both barrels.

  9. When did you have your problem, or you having it right now? Where you buy yours?

    Kinarfi

I heard it for the first time last fall but I did not ride but about 10 miles all winter. I tore it down about a month ago and found most of the bolts had pulled the threads off of them. I put in harder bolts with lock tight and hopefully it will not happen again.

  10. We don't dare jump it....wouldn't want to break any suspension components, not alone the diffs or an axle.

Ernie I have jumped mine many times I jump the ditches up here in ND all the time. I will hit the approaches at about 40 mph and it will fly about 20-25' and go about 3' over the approach with about 3'-4' approche total air is about 6'-7'. It lands quit soft have not broken or bent any thing yet. Last fall I promised video of it but got snow before I had chance. I still plan on getting the video eventually.

  11. I have also pulled my 20' boat with it. It was not a problem at all. I used it to put it away last fall and had to back it down a hill and then up into my yard. I was on gravel and grass in the yard. It did not slide at all backing down the gravel road and did not spin a tire backing up into the yard on grass could not have been more pleased and impressed.
