  4. What day are you riding to the Desert Bar? What's going on tonight.....nothing, sitting around a fire, etc.? Bruce
  5. Hey all.........I need new rear springs for my Viper but not sure what spring rates to get. It now has dual springs. I don't know whether to stay with duals or go to single springs. Does anyone know the replacement spring rate for a Sand Viper 1100? Thanks, Bruce
  6. Not yet. I ordered a holder and 5 fuses from ebay and I should have them Friday. Casey at JMC said to check the main ground and make sure it's clean and tight. Also mentioned that the fan pulls a lot of amps and it might be a good idea to tie in a heavier wire to the ground wire and attach it to the frame back close to the fan somewhere.
  7. Hi guys........yeaterday I took a ride. All of a sudden everything died. I turned the key on and nothing. My horn and gps stilled worked because they are connected directly to the battery. After a few minutes I tried the key again and the fan came on low. I tried to start it and it turned once, kinda like a dead battery. I waited a couple of minutes and turned the key on and the fan and gauges came alive. It started like normal. I ran about an 1/8 mile and everything quit again. This time it would not start. I checked the fuses in the fuse box and all look good. I turned the key on and wiggled the wires under the dash. Nothing. Any ideas? Thanks, Bruce
  8. Lenny, you got a deal. When you come down in Feb. look me up. I'll PM you.
  9. My motorhome weighs 41,000 lbs. so I can't go in soft stuff. Bruce
  10. I don't wat happened but I quoted this earlier and responded that if I can make it I will dry camp with Lenny. I'm now pretty sure I will make the Jamboree. Bruce
  11. Thanks guys. I talked to Casey at JMC Powersports and he didn't recommend using air. He said the gas actually mixes with the oil in the shock and air has a little moisture and will contaminate the oil. Doing some searching about the use of Argon looks like it should work. My neighbor has a Mig welder with Argon but I think it is a mixture with some other gas. I'll check it out. I did find a place in Yuma which is about an hour and a half away who will fill them for $10 a piece if I take them off. That might be the best route. Bruce
  12. Hi all, I tried to check the pressure in the rear shocks of my SV 1100. When I did, both sides just bled out to 0. The left side was at about 65 lbs. and the right at about 80 lbs. When I put the gauge on the valve it registered pressure but just bled down right away. Maybe my gauge is bad. I did some searching on the forum but didn't find much so I'm asking, can I use air or do I have to take it somewhere to get nitrogen and how much pressure? Thanks, Bruce
  13. Thanks Charlie, same to you and everyone here. Bruce
  14. I didn't know they made those kind of lighters any more.
  15. I have bought from JMC and talked to Casey. Great organization to work with.
  16. I don't know about the site Kinarfi.....I just ride up there and love it. I don't really ever read their site. Bruce
  17. http://www.atvutah.com/ We go to Panquitch and Marysvale every year. The Paiute Trail is awesome.
  18. Took the buggy out yesterday and WOW. Actually turns. With the straight gears tight turns in the dirt were impossible and highway turns were hard steering. Now on asphalt I can do a tight 360 almost with one hand and handling in the dirt is fantastic. I wish I did this when I bought this thing over a year ago. Thanks to all who help me through this rebuild.
  19. Trans is back in but hasen't been tested yet. Should be testing it today. Kinarfi, I sent you an e-mail. Rebuild seemed to go smoothly.
