Checked the rpm and it’s right at 1400. Ordered some Club Cadet oil that’s a UTV/wet clutch oil. Will see if this helps.

No it’s not a motorcycle oil, car oil API SE or SF rating, but that’s what the manual is calling for.

Yes it won’t shift between park, reverse, high and low half the time. I’ll double check the idle speed, but I think it’s good. I’m using a synthetic 10W/30 synthetic oil, the manual doesn’t say synthetic, but the weight is correct. I just changed the oil, but had this problem before I changed it. only has 38 hours and 310 miles on it.

Had this utv for a couple of months and bought it with this problem. Sometimes it will move thru the gears with no problems, but most of the time there’s a resistance to go from one gear to the next. What helps is to give it a little gas to get it to change gears. I’ve tried adjusting the turn buckle connected to the gear shift, but didn’t help. Anyone have any advice?
