  1. thanks for replying @EVSupport, I don't expect free support but appreciate any assistance 4 x 12v 100ah Humsienk LiFePO4s, using the default charger that was reflashed before I changed the batteries! so this was an existing issue with the original sla's. basically there's no regen unless I put it in low and then go down a steep hill, if I do that it'll reduce the speed back down and regen. but using the brakes doesn't trigger regen before the physical brakes kick in like it used to.
  2. bit of an update here, I managed to get into a discussion with hisun support via wechat and they are telling me that the sevcon needs reflashing. they won't provide the ability for me to do this myself and I am 5-6 hours from my "local" dealer, so I am investigating how to do this https://electricdriveengineering.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/DVT-Manual.pdf seems like it might work if I can get all the things required
  3. was chatting to delta-q about the charger profiles and they advised that for the ic1200-048;
  4. there's another thread on something similar to this but it sounds like you are overloading the batteries and they're cutting out to save themselves I am not an engineer by any means, I do wonder if you could charge to 90% and leave it space for the regen to feed into the batteries?

I haven't noticed any major difference in that area, no. it's heaps quicker off the mark and consistently zippier, and it does feel lighter to handle, but not rough or stiff the 12v charges off the 48v system somewhere, not sure exactly where it does this (the sevcon maybe?) but you shouldn't need to charge it separately

  8. these are the same batteries as what I used! I am finding its providing the full 400a when I switch to high though?
  9. the bus bars would be for the 12v system, as I've got a set of lights, a USB charger and another plug for other things (eg my weed sprayer pump) that I might connect adhoc

I had a loose connection on one of the discovery batteries which melted and stopped the entire buggy, so I took the dice and ordered 4 of these https://ebay.us/m/2yFxar, 12v 100ah humsienk which had decent reviews online and is (at time of writing) 15% off turns out they fit nearly perfectly into the existing spots, they're just a bit shorter than the originals (hence the blocks of wood under the brackets), which means I can put a other 4 in if I really need more capacity I was able to reuse the cables and I replaced the 12v at the same time and relocated it into the extra space. one super handy side benefit is I can now very easily get to the drive train to grease it this has been a fantastic change, it's heaps lighter and the power is just constant now. the last thing I need to do is get a better gauge (maybe this one https://au.renogy.com/500a-battery-monitor/), update the charger profile and maybe install bus bars for the 12v and replace the brackets with straps

  12. if that also controls the brake lights then the switch is working, I cleaned it anyway based on your comment and it hasn't helped unfortuantely
  13. the regen braking on my e1 has stopped working unless (for eg) I am going down a hill in low and it's slowing things down to stick to the 10kph limit. when I drive and take my foot off the accelerator it's not initiating the regen to slow things down and instead just coasts at whatever speed it is at, or speeds up as the regen is not limiting it. the brake lights work, so it's probably not a fault with the sensor on the brake pedal hoping someone else might be able to provide some suggestions on things to check, as the mob that I bought it off seem to have gone silent on me
  14. you've got 4 that are all 48v x 30ah yeah, doesn't that mean you get 120ah of capacity if they are in parallel? or am I missing something....
