2016 Mule 4010 - Overloaded Payload, now Mule won't go fast & lacks power

Hi All- Long time reader, first time posting.  I have a 2016 Mule 4010 (model: KAF 620V).  I am having an issue since overloading the payload a couple days ago (yes I'm a dummy).  I live on a very hilly property and I was trying to move some large oak rounds for firewood splitting.  I put WAY too much wood in the bed and when I started driving, it sputtered, kicked out of gear, and then cut out.  I unloaded all the weight and started it again - appeared to be running fine when idling and/or driving on flat ground at slow speed.  But when try to go fast or uphill, the RPM's rev high and it sounds like the motor is fine, but it has ZERO speed or power at all (literally creeps uphill at like 2-3 mph and won' go faster or take any weight), and has no power at all.

Other info: 3 weeks ago I did a belt replacement.  So I was worried I perhaps screwed that up somehow. But I just opened the clutch housing to check and the belt and clutch appear to be working just fine.... sooo.....

Any ideas what I screwed up by overloading payload and immediately trying to drive uphill?  Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

the 4010 does not have a wet clutch.

One thing that comes to mind, i would check the rear axle splines. the hubs are splined to the axel, if those splines pullout, or strip, it could cause a low speed issue like you're having. you should be able to check this by remove the rear tires, and axle nuts.

it could also be an issue with one of the drive pulleys not fully engaging, This is the first thing i would do, remove the belt cover  and make sure the pulleys move in their full range of motion.

Go back and check the drive belt again, it is most likely slipping.

I have pulled a tractor and pick-up out of mud, I have loaded the the bed with as much firewood, as it would hold, I have drug 24" diameter and 10' long logs.  I have driven up  inclines so steep my truck had to be put in 4x4 low.  In a1998 2010, and shredded the belt once in 2008.

I am a bit tough on equipment, and a K-Mule is the toughest vehicle I have ever owned.  And I had a WW II JEEP.

I dont need to check in under load because the problem perists regardless now. It started because of a heavy load, but now the problem happens whenever driving, load or not.  So I'm wathcing the belt as I drive - I've got the bed tilted up and the clutch housing off, so I can look directly at it as I drive. Not slipping.  I'm totally stumped.

In case anyone is following:  we finally diagnosed this issue.  It was an ignition coil.  Pretty much fried out under the heavy load.  Was not the belt (or the wet clutch as the mule doesnt have one). Thanks everyone for your time and input!

Hi, my 2010 Hisun will crannk but comes to a stop and only clicks.  It has new battery and solinoid. Battery connections all seem good. Any ideas what the problem is?

The Axis 500 will not shift into low or reverse.  I have high when it should be in low and all the other places it is reverse.  The gears in the shift cover are fine and I shifted it when the cover was off and yet no change (so it can't be the shifting mechanism gears).  I t has been difficult to get it into low for awhile.  But now it is either high or reverse, no neutral either.

I just bought a new 2024 Hison 550 Stryker 2 months ago. this is the second time I have had this issue.  It only has about 20 hours on it. The last time it happened we took it back to the dealer. it was a fuse.  Since we live three-hour time driving there and back. I would like to find another solution if possible.  I have tried all the fuses that seem to have anything to do with starting.  Currently checking the battery. The battery is new. it came with the unit. It is probably 6 months old.  the UTV has all power to everything electrical. lights turn signals and radio all work.  When trying the key to start . it is 100% dead. as in it doesn't even click.  There is a low whirring like the fuel pump is turning on though. The Unit was running and driving just fine.  we shut it down for the night. The next morning my wife found it in this condition.  Thanks for any Ideas or solutions???   Otherwise, it goes back to the dealer tomorrow. Just hope I didn't buy a lemon. Great little UTV when it does run.😅  anyone else ever have this Issue..?

Just picked up a Hisun 500 that had shift issues (corroded fan gear) which I fixed. It also didn't seem to be running smoothly then all of a sudden it got worse. It seems to miss on both idle and when pushing the gas pedal to the floor and doesn't seem to be running at full power. I've been working with a local person who is walking me through some steps, but I'd like some input from this group as well. What I've done:
      - drained the fuel tank and replaced it with 93 octane fuel and added heet to help with any water problems.
      - replaced the fuel injector.
      - disconnected the battery (several times) to allow the module to reset.
      - set the valve clearance, both intake and exhaust, within specs ... intake was tight but exhaust seemed fine.
      - replaced the battery.
      - replaced the O2 sensor.
Nothing has helped. Not sure what the next steps are, but would appreciate any expertise that can be offered here.
