  1. After further reflection, I agree; the secondary clutch could well be the culprit.
  2. Go back and check the drive belt again, it is most likely slipping. I have pulled a tractor and pick-up out of mud, I have loaded the the bed with as much firewood, as it would hold, I have drug 24" diameter and 10' long logs. I have driven up inclines so steep my truck had to be put in 4x4 low. In a1998 2010, and shredded the belt once in 2008. I am a bit tough on equipment, and a K-Mule is the toughest vehicle I have ever owned. And I had a WW II JEEP.
  3. 58.2" wide. Whatever you buy make sure it had fuel injection and power steering. I think they are about what I paid 11 years - $11,000.
  4. I had a Kaw Mule 2510, and now a 2011 TransMule 4010. No problems, just routine maintance, I bird hunt on them - so they get used, I have had mine from ND to TX. I really don't know the width. On every reliability test, the Mule wins, but that is as much about the age of the user, as the machine. Mine has a easily removed jump seat for 6 adult or 12 kids!
  5. Aefron, Great response, thanks for the clean up.
  6. PayPal, I don't even buy toothpaste unless it is Amazon or PayPay. I have tried to buy some of those too good to be true things that were scams, PayPal covered my foolishness.
  7. We own 40 acres with the house, and a 2 acre hunting camp & RV, 40 miles away. I have 7.5' X 14' single axle dovetail with a expanded metal rear gate/ramp, wood floor, 14" high, 2" square tubing side rails. Single axle because the heaviest things I haul are a 18 hp tractor and a K-TransMule, dual axles are much heavier, cumbersome, and costly to maintain. Both the tractor and Mule have 2" balls to tote other stuff after I get to the site. I have hauled upto 5 - 30" X 12' logs, loaded the old fashion way, with a cant hook and log side ramps. Unloaded via a chain around a stout tree, then drive off, repeat. If I cannot perform the task with my light equipment it doesn't get done.
  8. That is a decent price on a nice low hour rig. The wench is good to have, but I have a portable one that cost a buck 50, and a rarely use it.
  9. The Kawasaki Mule FXR, all of the single row seating Side by Sides of all makes have a bit more legroom, I am only 6'5" with a big belly, as in 300+ lbs and my TransMule 4010 barely has enough room. Part of the trade off is the bigger the cabin the smaller the bed. The Kobta single bench seat is a beast, pricey, and the diesel is a bigger beast and more pricey. But heck, everything is ridiculously expensive these days. Good luck, I bought my first Mule in 1998, wrecked it in 2011, and the replacement is better still. Fuel injection and power steering is great for a 75 year old fat man. I expect this one to last the rest of my life, but I must have one. 13 years is a good long time to own anything mechanical, but my tractor is 40 years old, my pickup 20. I am not one to give up a vehicle just because it has some age to it. I have never known a man to regret buying one. Again, Good Luck
  10. I have a 2011, 4010 Gas TransMule with less than 200 hours, and a serious oil leak. If it is a main seal, what next? Not oil filter or oil plug. How do you get to the oil pan? It has been babied by an old man.
