Howdy From Cheyenne Wyoming

Recently purchased a 2020 Tracker 800SX. Found it on Facebook Marketplace in Denver Colorado for $11,800. It’s a one owner machine with 186 miles and 36 hours.

It has the following options installed:

TRAIL KIT - 2436-97 $1810 (POLY HARD TOP 2436-649, REAR HARD COAT POLYCARBON[1]ATE WINDOW 2436-623, FULL HARD COAT POLYCARBONATE WINDSHIELD 2436-618, CENTER REARVIEW MIRROR 2436-630)

BACKCOUNTRY KIT - 2436-972 $1592 (BRUSHGUARDS 2436-632, GRILLE GUARD 2436-631, WARN VRX 45 WINCH 10002695, WINCH INSTALL KIT 100008510, REAR BUMPER 2436-633)

These two option kits together run $3402 plus installation and tax. So, the basic Tracker 800SX by itself ended up costing me $8398. It has 26x10-14 tires all the way around.

I plan to use it mainly as a workhorse on my 3-acre place 6 miles east of Cheyenne and as something I can take to town on the county roads if the need arises. Plan to purchase a KFI 72-inch steel snowplow, soft (or diy hard doors), wiper kit, side mirrors, street legal kit, back up lights, and a pull behind rough cut mower. Checked with DMV as to registering it as an MPV and they said plates would run $125. Its secondary use will be a hunting rig,

When researching the Tracker, I was interested in the 800SX LE. The original sales literature indicated that the LE came with 27x9x14 and 27x11x14 tires. When I went to pick up my Tracker, it had 26” tires on it. I called Tracker before paying for the Tracker and was told they had supply issues and could not get 27” tires. I’m curious to know if anyone has taken delivery of an LE with 27” tires in stalled? I just recently installed 27” tires and am happy with the added ground clearance and beefy look the machine has taken on!

Just received delivery of a 2024 AMP Pro.  Thought I'd start a thread with my impressions as I use it and learn more.  There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of real-world usage information out there on this model.  Hope this will help others as they research.
      Intended Use Cases
Fire mitigation / slash removal from a 5 acre forested and well-gamble-oaked property.  The previous owners thought as much about fire mitigation as I do about fashion: not much. Snow removal Stump pulling General hauling (rock, lumber, etc.) Weimaraner energy depletion.  Wasn't an original use case, but a nice added bonus.  Experiences So Far
Wasn't impressed that two of the bumpers on the underside of the bed where it sits upon the frame were missing.  The metal on metal contact has damaged the powder coating and the frame.  I expect a little better QC.
I've only put a few hours on it, so not a ton to report on usage.  It isn't quiet; it's silent.  I can't even detect an electric note from the motor. I removed (and subsequently replaced) the motor cover noticed that the motor is German and made by Schambuller.  The motor controller is Italian and made by Dana TM4.  Given the operating specs of both I found on the web, I suspect both are higher quality than the previous Navitas (which is supposed to be decent).  The motor is rated at 25 hp and 71.5 lb-ft of torque.  It feels very powerful.  All the torque is delivered instantly, if desired.
The bed is huge and has an electric dump as standard.  Great feature but would like it to go up a bit more.  Probably not feasible from an engineering perspective, but I want and I need ;).
Power steering is nice, but vague.  Probably common to many UTVs, but I am accustomed to more direct results from input.  Plan early and plan often.
In our first full day of usage, we hauled about 1/2 as much slash as the entire rest of the year when I was doing it by hand cart.  I may get fatter, but I'll also get more done.  After a few days of usage, the battery meter has gone down by 1/10th.
      Until next time...

Three times now our Tracker SXS EViS has been driven off with it plugged up charging. This last time ripped the charger off the wall and now it won't charge. Is there a way to test my charger to see if it's what's not working? I think the wires inside the sxs may have been pulled loose too so it might be the sxs that's not charging rather than the charger not working.
And is there a charging alternative to ordering a $500+ new charger?

I bought a tracker 88sx crew in 2023. It has a whishing noise coming from the front end. Starts out low and gets louder as speed increases. Took it back to the dealer and they said it was normal on this model. Any suggestions as to what may be causing this.
