I just purchased a Massimo MSU500 and no manual came with it so I have some questions. looking for part #'s and availability of basics like spark plug air and fuel filter. What is the valve adjustment specifications?

Is there a fuel drain? It's been sitting, low mileage but I want to drain out the old fuel and put fresh.

Have you tried their website to see if they have a manual available? Some manufacturers do and some don't.

You can always do a search for parts online as a lot of online stores sell aftermarket parts. Their website should have a search for dealer or service center that near you or just ask them how to get a manual.

Service is practically nonexistant from Massimo..but many parts are available on Amazon, ebay , Motorcycle Doctor..filters etc are plentiful and cheap.. i think mine used  plug NGK DPR 7EA9. No fuel drain that i am aware.pull the line .good luck..does it run at all now? Watch for overheating...common issue in hot weather

Thanks for the reply. It runs good now, I changed the injector, fuel filter and spark plug. Set the valves and out fresh gas in it. I found some FB pages with some action. This forum is pretty dead it appears.

Used to be busy..kinda died out..glad you got it running well..i would recommend retorque head bolts.

Hisun just air tools them ..head gasket failures are common..watch for bubbles in recovery tank and water in the oil.  Enjoy ..after all the repairs on mine it has fun well..use it often.

Any spec for head bolts? It has some top end noise I need to pull the side cover for the cam and check the chain. I was hoping it was just the valves noisey but I set them and it still has a rattle. Runs good and starts instantly.

You need to run premium fuel..87 octane will knock..change the oil, be sure its wet clutch approved 10 w 40 or 10w30 or it will burn clutches. Dont recall the bolt torque. Try google..use LOW under 20mph and in mud or hills. Mine does well in mud..dont go in deep water, will get into trans cooling ran

Fuel's not a problem, local station sells Rec gas 90 octane non ethanol. I've read where a lot of people use Rotella 15w-40, that would be easy as I buy it for my diesels in 5 gal buckets. I have run it down the road but it will mostly be used riding around my property for chores.

Rotella is ok..just dont use an auto full synthetic..the friction modifier package will destroy wet clutch.they are a lot of fun..and handy with dump bed and winch. Thay can tow 1500 lbs too

It's a 2018 shows 78 mi. but there's been someone under the hood. Old guy, even older than me and I'm old, had it and didn't use it much parked in the garage. Think owner before him was a little rough on it.  They installed a fuel filter inline and there's some replaced non original bolts on the clutch cover. Someone has had the fan cover off also. otherwise it's all in working order. Steering wheel is crooked I'm going to do an alignment and see if I can get it straight adjusting the tie rods. Wasn't sure if the steering wheel was splined and maybe off a tooth or so.

I have been searching and can't find much info on these units. Pretty surprising as every other thing I own I find a lot of info on. Researching for tech info and such it's like no one owns any of these yet I see them everywhere.

I have a Coleman 550.  Was having problems to start with where it would start and then shut off after a couple tries. It would take off and be good. It then got to a point where it would not start at all. I replaced the fuel injection twice the second time I replaced it I noticed a mouse or something had chewed one of the wires that connect the electrical to the fuel injector. . So two-part question first does anybody have a part number for that wire harness?  Second, any other ideas after I fix the wire harness permanently on what could keep it from starting I have gas flow up to the fuel injector.

My Massimo 500 will not start. I’ve checked all the obvious things. It turns over just fine. fuel, spark, fuse box are all good. I can’t figure it out. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

      Hi All,
I have a 14 mile round trip on level roads to reach the property where I work with my 2025 Amp Crew Ranch (purchased, April 2026).  That 14 mile round trip uses 60% of the battery as shown on the gage for a calculated range of 23.3 miles versus an advertised “up to 50 miles” range.  A mile or two working on the property gets me a flashing gage and warning beeping by the time I get home.  The dealer was good to work with and even with a new battery (yesterday) the results were about the same, although there seemed to be more power and a higher top speed.  I own a Mach-e Mustang so I am familiar with how various conditions affect range, but less than 50% of advertised range just seems like there has to be something out of whack.
Now I’m wondering if there is a controller and/or software issue affecting the range and performance.  At various points the Amp seems to lose power for no reason and then has trouble maintaining speed.  Any ideas?
Also, twice now, the brakes seem to have not released fully.  After noticing reduced speed, I stopped and check the rotors and wheel…..HOT!  So, now every time I feel less power, I stopped to cycle the brakes and check the temperature.  Very annoying.  Are there any adjustments to be had?
And yes, as noted in another post, sometimes the switching from forward to reverse or high to low speed feels sluggish or balky.
Lastly, while an electric vehicle powertrain is quiet, my Amp was horrible from a road noise and vibration standpoint.  This was easily fixed by locating panels vibrating on other panels or the frame (even the cup holders were vibrating) and installing felt adhesive pads at the contact points (seat to frame, windshield to frame, fenders to frame, etc.).  This is a $10 and 1/2 hour fix that makes a significant improvement in the driver/passenger experience.  Tire noise, yes, but that’s because of the knobby tread.
I’m trying hard to like my Amp and would appreciate any tips, advice or solutions.

Onto the next problem, everything has been replaced in the charging system except the Flywheel Rotor, I have it torn apart all the way down to said rotor, but it is suggested that a specific puller is required, and a compatible rotor seems virtually impossible to find.  I can find many like it, but this one is mine scenario for those that get the reference.  For all I know I have the last Massimo Buck 400S on the planet and will never find another part again, but who knows.  Any ideas, help or otherwise that anyone might have would be greatly appreciated.
