utv tires

I got a utv from lowes it has one tire in the back that is the same size as the front tires so it has 3, 26-9-14 and 1 26-11-24. i want to change the rear tire to the same one as the other.So instead of buying a new rim will a 26-11-24 tire fit on a 26-9-14 rim.

I would say no.  Looking at my Massimo 500, the rear wheel is 2 inches wider than the front.

Sounds like the contractor who assembles for your local Lowes had several to do at the same time. 

If it was a recent purchase, talk to Lowes and inform them that you have a mis matched tire and need it replaced.

Any idea if a 12x8 rim is different for front and back? Reason I ask is it appears the offset is different in front and back.

Do the front and back tires have different sizes imprinted on them?  I've heard of a couple stories where new UTVs have been sold with different tires/rims on front and back.  Even one guy who claimed he had 3 of the same size and one of another size on a new purchase.    Can't vouch for his truthfulness but who knows in today's assembly plant environment.

Tire sizes are identical in front and back (all four) I guess I'll swap fronts and rears and see if they fit without obstructions. The reason I brought all this up is I want to get a spare tire and wheel but there seems to be a different part number for the front and rear wheel.
