Hey guys,

After my lower u-joint spline wore out and start spinning (bolt was tight, but the u-joint metal is very soft), and after putting in a split pin on top to keep the upper u-joint from working its way out and causing a catastrophic accident (I drive on the highway with this thing, as well as offroad) I was thinking it's time to replace it with something more robust.

Was wondering what fixes any of you actually did for the steering system - details please.

Lenny, I know you changed it completely to one from a car, and some here have links to rack and pinions they found interesting, but was wondering if more details can be given:

Which car did you get the complete assembly from, which system has actually been tried, mods to steering arms... that sort of thing.

For now, I've put in a grade 8 bolt, tightened it so tight the slot has dissappeared, and put in a locking screw to keep things together till i fix this...

Hey Kinarfi, thanks. Never thought of welding it.

It's all together now, but even if it was apart, there's not much that could be seen. The spline was worn out enough to cause slippage, but it could still be seen. Also, the locking bolt that fits through the U-joint is supposed to sit in the groove in the shaft, but it doesn't interfere enough to do anything.

Although I now have a locking screw, I will be welding it next chance I get.

One of the first things way back when I got my Trooper was replace several of the cinch bolts by drilling and tapping them to larger bolts. I have never had a problem with the u joint that ties to the steering wheel shaft because I caught it early.

I have a 2011 or so Landmaster LM200.  I cannot get it to start.  I turn the key and nothing happens.  The brake switch seems to be working, the ignition switch works.  The Coil is new the Voltage Regulator is new and the starter relay is new.

I can connect the terminals on the starter relay and it starts right up and runs fine.  I just can't get it to start by turning the key.

I am having a bit of trouble bleeding the brakes, not much fluid comes out at the calipers when I am pumping the brakes, though that an air bubble near the brake switch might make it not sense that the brake pedal is depressed.

I am at a loss, please help!

I have a Coleman 550.  Was having problems to start with where it would start and then shut off after a couple tries. It would take off and be good. It then got to a point where it would not start at all. I replaced the fuel injection twice the second time I replaced it I noticed a mouse or something had chewed one of the wires that connect the electrical to the fuel injector. . So two-part question first does anybody have a part number for that wire harness?  Second, any other ideas after I fix the wire harness permanently on what could keep it from starting I have gas flow up to the fuel injector.

My 2022 Coleman/Hisun UTV 400 steering shaft has a couple of U-joints and angles to help get it down from the steering column to the rack.  Today, my son who drives it most came in and said that it wouldn't steer and that he could turn the steering wheel but it doesn't turn the wheels  I investigated and noticed that the bolt that clamps down the upper part of the steering shaft onto the lower one before the first u-joint in the steering shaft had fallen out.  We haven't been able to find it, so I wanted to see what size and thread, bolt I should get to fix it?
