Hey There,

I'm new to and as green as green can be to the UTV world and looking for recommendations on purchasing my first UTV.

I've done a few searchs but thought it would be quicker to just ask for some help to start with.

I'm looking for something for what I'd call general purposes.

Plowing snow off our paved driveway at home and then trailering it up to our cabin in the woods to plow the dirt road up there.  Do some tree maintenance on our properties, pick up and move down limbs etc...

Other then that we'd like to take it out on the near by trails and have some fun with it. Nothing crazy, we're not looking to jump mountains or race or anything like that but we would like something we can ride around with and depend on.

Any recommendations?  What's out there and what should we be looking for? Brands, makes, models, options etc.....Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

First off, welcome to the forum!

I have an older diesel mule, and I really like it. But the newer models are totally different from mine, so I really can't comment on those. It would help if we knew if you were looking for new, or used? Budget considerations? Unfortunately a heavy vehicle, with a straight axle is better for plowing snow. While a lightweight unit with independent suspension is best for trail riding. So you'll have to make a choice on primary use. Either will work for both uses, but won't be ideal for the other. Of course there's usually an aftermarket accessory to help to adapt the vehicle, but as an example, my heavy mule couldn't ever be adapted to be a rock crawler, and heavy mud is a challenge. But I can haul a half cord of wood in the back while pulling a trailer. Try that with a Rhino, and there'll be problems. That Rhino is a very adept vehicle, and with all the add-on parts and accessories available, like a turbo and such, it has the potential to be a beast. But I'm thinking it'll be too light to effectively plow snow.

That's really helpful information, thank you very much.

I'm leaning with to more of a work horse then a sport or play vehicle right now so the axel and suspension stuff  is exceptionally helpful.

Problem: Without pulling the part out and stranding the vehicle at the shop forever.... I am trying to find the correct stator or at least one that might not be exact for the Massimo Buck 400S, but fit and connect and do the job if that makes sense.... if anyone has any ideas, please shoot them my way.

I posted this before , but I had the year wrong. The part I need is for a 2014, I don't know what all years will work, but I need the 2 bearing style with the spacer in the middle. It looks like this pic. If anyone has one I'll buy it rite away. my email is [email protected]. Thanks, RC

I have a 2011 or so Landmaster LM200.  I cannot get it to start.  I turn the key and nothing happens.  The brake switch seems to be working, the ignition switch works.  The Coil is new the Voltage Regulator is new and the starter relay is new.

I can connect the terminals on the starter relay and it starts right up and runs fine.  I just can't get it to start by turning the key.

I am having a bit of trouble bleeding the brakes, not much fluid comes out at the calipers when I am pumping the brakes, though that an air bubble near the brake switch might make it not sense that the brake pedal is depressed.

I am at a loss, please help!

Hope I posted this in the right place. Looking for the left side shaft carrier where the rear bearings go for an 1100cc sand viper, I understand an 800 cc carrier will also work. I need the old style two bearing with the spacer in the middle, the new style with just the one wide bearing wont work. If anybody has one I'll buy it right away. my email is [email protected]

I heard there's several off road festivals out that way. One or two post apocalyptic, the rest just rev and run. Anyone know a good one that offers camping? Any advice for out of state people like hauling, legality, and where to stay?
Ideally me and the missus would be down for camping out and setting up shop somewhere nearby. That way we can just wake up, load up, and ride.
