2009 Hisun 700 - Stator Gasket bush fix

Recommended Posts

I did a fairly major overhaul on my HS 700.

Had some issues with bending valves...I believe found the root of the problem. Replaced the timing chain (old one was  stretched 3/4" longer)

Got everything back together....but had a fairly steady oil leak from the stator cover.  I tightened the bolts as much as I dared, they were all torqued to spec at assembly but  when I noticed the leak I gave the bolts on either side of the leak an extra bit of tightening to try and get the leak to stop but no luck.

Had a bit of a brain wave and did some googling, seems like a few other folks had  a similar idea. I cleaned the area with brake clean and ran a bead of crazy glue down the crack. Let it soak in and dry and did a second round. Let it dry and fired it up, voila...no more leak.

Will see how this holds up but it saved me having to rip it all apart again , hopefully this helps someone else.

I picked up this Hisun 700cc for a good deal. no crank no start unit 1900 miles on it. Put a new battery and starter solenoid fired right up but sounded rough some kind of rattle/clunk noise.  Does anyone know what this noise could be? Couldn't get a better video of it running as i don't want to risk doing more damage. Drained the oil it looks good no metal in it.

Can anyone tell me how they grease the drivelines ?  Can’t grease the u joints. Do you need to take the driveline off ?
And are they easy to take off?

      I have a 2018 Massimo Buck 400 with 278 miles.
Having issues with my brakes. Took the buggy hunting and when I let my foot off the gas pedal it pulls without pressing on the brake. I looked and the pads on all 4 wheels are all toast. The E-Brake hasn’t been on since I have had it. I am guessing it may be a master cylinder issue because all 4 pads are gone. They all seem to have worn evenly that’s why I think the master cylinder. Just got the machine used from a older couple and they said it sat for some time in there pole barn. Possibly the brake lines? Calipers? I took one brake apart and when I depressed the caliper it didn’t stay. Any help is muck appreciated.
