Hey folks,

I just picked up a 2010 landmaster. The last guy changed the engine to a 653 predator. Anyone have experience with these? Trying to figure out the throttle. It doesnt gently start off Like most engines. Push the gas and vroom! Is that the way these are?

Shouldn't be that way.

Im willing to bet he rigged the throttle linkage straight to the butterfly on the carb and bypassed the governor throttle plate set up, which gives you a nice steady increase of speed.

There are plenty of videos on YouTube of setting up throttle on those Predators.

I checked it out and the springs are still there. I will pull the carb apart this weekend. It doesnt go full throttle but is jerky. Also repairing the brakes as the lines were all split. They just came in. And putting on wheel spacers to keep the huge tires from rubbing on the tie rods.

Well that was interesting. I went to move the buggy and it didnt want to start. Got it going and it was fogging the neighborhood. I was like crap blown engine. Oil sparying out of the exhaust. I pulled the filter off and the carb was full of oil. Checked the oil and it was way overfilled. So I started draining it and it was full of gas. What the heck?🤨

I found this in an American Sportworks owner's manual. Apparently is has  vacuum operated fuel pump with a gravity pass-through--this in common on riding mowers, transporting the machine without the fuel valve off jostles the carb float about and dumps fuel into the cylinder/crankcase:

Fuel pump looks like this, very similar to that on my Ariens 22 HP mowers with a Briggs V-Tec engine....

Could be the same pump (or interchangeable--B&S p/n 808656)

Hey guys! Newbie here. I'm an old man who's better with plowing a mule (4-legged kind) than these newfangled beasts. I, and a friend of mine, just bought new Coleman sxs and are having to finish the assembly. I've been reading on this site and I'm falling on the mercy of you experts. The only way I'm an expert is that an "ex" is a has been, and a spurt is a drip under pressure. LOL First off, the 2 buggies have no ignition switches. They seem to mount on the dash, not the opening in the steering wheel shaft cover, so we ordered new ones that are supposed to fit. They are 8 inches long, and have a 4-wired white plugin which is slightly rectangled when looking at the end of the plug. The trouble is there's nothing to plug into. There is a three-wire grey plug close enough to reach the four-wire plug, but of course, they are not compatible.
Secondly, the blinker, light, ect. unit on steering wheel just spins around when touched. I see no way in heaven or earth to secure it. I've looked at a diagram on the Powersports site, but can't detect how it mounted. Fellows I'd be so grateful for any help with this. Me and my mule will even plow your garden for free, for your help. LOL

Less than 40 miles can barely start. Dealer is working with Hisun on a number of other issues on this UTV. Can not get clear info on the meaning of these E codes this is getting. Anybody have some clear info for me?

We just bought a used 2017 American Landmaster TW450. No hour meter that I can find, so not sure exactly how much it has been used.
The first 2 days we had it, the starter was a little sketchy, but it started after 2-3 tries. Sometimes when turning the key, we would hear a loud metal "clink" sound. Like the starter made contact, but didn't have enough power to turn.
THIS MORNING... Turning the key, we hear a single click sound. That's it. Even with a new battery, the starter is still doing the same thing. Both batteries (old and new) were reading 12.8 volts on volt meter. So I'm wondering what else could be going on? Any ideas on what to look for would be greatly appreciated...
      Thank you!

My 2018 Hisun sector crew engine cut off after about 15 minutes run. There is no indicator of what is wrong, no error code just die and won't restart until it cool down. I notice that the fan is not running but the temp indicator is on low temp, no overheat indicator. I checked the radiator fluid, it is cool to touch.
Cooling fans are working, I can hear it running once awhile if I can get the engine warm up enough.  Thank you for all the help.
