  2. hey guys I know theres a lot of info on here about shocks whats been done what worked, suspension mods and so on. I wanna upgrade my shocks soon some Im doing some research and looking at price. Im considering radflo shocks and if im correct it seems like on the forum a 2.0 with 8 inch of travel is a good idea. What I wanna do is basically get a shock that I can put in the stock location and I was thinking id go with an extra inch of travel to be safe. so what SIZE would you guys recomend that being said. I have read the info here on this site and I would do a crazy shock setup but I do not have the fabricating skills and there is only one shop in my area that could help and his price is insane

    thank u charlie

  3. put the new bearing in with the locktite and seemed ok tighter fit there is a little play but appears to be from the wheel hub spline area but all in all seema better. KINARFI/JEFF thanx fro the help on sat and advice

  4. Ok thanx ya I know if the bearing just slides out then its a hub issue.... I have been doing maintenance on it and I had the front jacked up theres a bit of movement up down and side to side and when I look at the axle from the other side while moving it it appears to look loose. I dont recall hearing any noise but I have also donr wheel bearings on nissan pathfinders and trucks that to much play and not any real noise. Im gonna check make sure the axle nut hasnt backed off at all as well. When I replaced my R/R wheel bearing I had a bit of play in it never really any noise that I had heard, and I use a large socket and hammer to knock it out of the hub then had to knock it back in the same way. Anybody know if the hub/spindle is expensive to replace. Thanx you guys for all the help

  5. Hey guys anyone know if the joints in the end of the shocks are servicable?? I have been doing maintenance on my T2 and noticed that on my rear shocks that the joints have some play shocks are still ok!! I see a c-clip any idea or what would work

  6. Hey guys first I apologize for spelling errors I'm writing this on my stupid smart phone. Had a ruff weekend with my trooper blew out a 30" Zilla tire and on my way home I lost my steering. Found that on the bottom side of steering shaft were it attaches to the steering box was loose. I was able to tighten the bolt and limp the t2 home. So today I pulled the steering shaft to inspect it found that the splines on the bottom of the shaft are a little rounded off not all the way threw though. The top side of shaft looks ok and the splines on the box look ok and my u joints on shaft font seem bad. So any thoughts has any one got a steering shaft??? I thought I read dome were on this forum u guys doing something to the steering shafts to make the a little stronger. Any help would be great I'm suppose to be taking the t2 to nh to go do some riding in 3 weeks. Here's my cell if anyone wants to call thanx a lot guys

  7. Ok Ive had a few starting issues with mine

1st was that my nuetral switch on the side of the tranny by the slave cylinder shortetd out so I by passed it only downfall is it can be started in gear

2nd is your battery switch powering evrything up when you try to start it does it click is there any signs of power??

3rd Lenny is an expert on this and helped me but, you get a voltage drop from the stock wire to the solenoid and the starter wont turn so you can put in a 4 post relay oneside to power other to ground, orginal signal wire and then a heavier thicker wire to the solenoid takes no effort to throw the relay but the current is better this way I believe theres a post on here.

4th check your ground my negative ground came loose

5 there I believe a 20 amp fuse behind the drivers seat in the fuse box if its blown you will get some power but no start

Hope this helps and good luck the guys on this site are really helpfull
