  1. 1800 miles on mine, saw it for sale at a house on highway that i commute on for 100 miles daily that was in 2011 it had 150 miles i snatched it up right away because i was looking for go cart or small utv buggy whatever with manual transmission...all i could find was roketa and bms then when i saw the t2 i saw it was 4x4 and bigger engine... i fell in love seeing it and just HAD to have it! When my rear diff went. everyone told me to put new one in and sell it. I'm thinking NOT! I got it fixed and the renegade gearing is great for the big tires.

  2. Kubota are real nice for work. Only ones i have seen are ones with front attachments like loader and etc in front for working around construction and farm. Most farmers around me have either Yamaha ranger or Honda big red for work on farm and utility duties.

Also don't take my word for it but I have heard that Kubota are much higher priced than others? Also i like the cub cadet ones because they are wider than most UTV but i have ZERO experience with any utv other than my Joyner trooper.

  3. I would bring it to dealer and argue and make them ride with me and demand it be repaired under warranty with no charge to you, or refunded under the "lemon law"

Otherwise u could inspect the cvt continuously variable transmission to see what's going on and repair if needed.

I feel for you, If its bought new it gotta work out the box like intended to.

  4. Hello everyone,

I'm wondering if anybody found an rebuild kit for the cv joint four the inner cv on half shaft locally, im trying to save money by buying just joint not whole half shaft with two joints.

    Thanks

  5. Kinarfi that's an interesting idea i never seen that way before. Lenny that's good idea and i forgot yours was supercharged so different locations. You are right i would want to try have it pull from closed side to keep it from going over center

  6. Anyone with automatic trans for trooper?

I have heard there was supposed to be an cvt for trooper but i never saw or heard anything more. You could try asking klung motors.

I'm also wondering if anyone know of a rebuild kit i can get for the trans later down the road? My trans like to pop out of gear sometimes when i let off the throttle

  7. Ok, does anyone have an answer to why I cannot shift gears when the temp drops below forty degrees? I know most of you Joyner owners live in the south, so I'm hoping someone traveled to the north and can help me fix this problem. Otherwise, does anyone know where I can get a cheap auto transmission?

First thought that comes to my mind is the fluid.. it get thick under 40 degrees mine get hard to shift in Iowa winter too. I would recommend synthetic fluid in transmission that can tolerate cold tempatures..I'm not sure if trans take gear oil or atf, someone here would know

  8. Lenny,

I'm guessing you use a spring on front of throttle body to pull it closed? One end of spring on throttle body linkage ,Where do you put one end of spring?

  9. It seem to be the cable my trooper does the same thing i unplugged iac it still do that sometimes. When it sticks i would reach behind me and shut the throttle body by hand.. i have intake that is built by goindeep

  10. So you bought the Renegade diffs from PLumber. That was a good buy and you'll love the gearing. Don't even think about running them until you upgrade them. The bolts in my kit are metric grade 12.9. Grade 8.8 is like our grade 5 and 12.9 like our grade 8.

Yes, after looking around the price was right and its what i needed after all.. (mcmoy motorsports in KY wanted 1200 for just rear yikes!!!) you can bet on that Lenny... i plan on washing out the diff fluid then install your Kits in front and rear as soon as i get my hands on the diffs.

I'm considering amsoil or Royal purple diff fluid...anyone have comments or suggestions about those oils or other?

  11. The bolt head i have is 13mm but i believe the threads are still 8m x 1.25...

The bolts aren't in great shape haha..where the bolts contact the rear end carrier... the threads are messed up. I have a feeling that those 8.8 grade bolts are not up to the task and will shear soon. I have bolts from Lenny kit that I'm planning on using along with renegade diffs.

  12. I have the same problem.. tires bogging down t2 in 3rd and higher gear.... i was thinking turbo would solve that heh, i never got to buying a turbo kit yet.

So u have gear set from t2 then?

  13. Plumber I'm interested! But don't have the cash right now...

Lenny thanks for the tooth count on gearings..

I figured out the gear ratio.. trooper ratio at 32/15 would make 2.133

    Renegade 32/14 make 2.285

Very little change but every bit helps since I'm running 29.5 tires with 3" deep treads...

Lenny you said you stopped making the Kits... well i feel so lucky since i still have them unused that was my mistake! Waiting to do upgrade for the diffs!

Those are pictures in my dropbox from my phone.

I know i need ring and pinion for t2 and the bearings are pretty bad and sloppy loose, seals would be good also my pinion bushing is shot. Only 1500 miles on it. I also need an rear left half shaft from diff to rear left wheel

  15. Yeah i saw that.. it's front one for $970....two shop in az both said $700 for rear units... that's better than 1200 but im wondering if anyone else got different one in their trooper from Ford or something like that.

  16. Hello everybody,

I'm looking at buying another new rear diff unit for my t2. Im wondering if anyone else got different idea that was successful? Like someone using Ford 7.5 diff's was that successful? New unit from sb is a bit high for my taste but much better than other dealer quoted me at $1200

  17. One time i had my Buddy over and i was showing off doing donuts here and there then all of sudden during mid- donut my t2 tipped over almost! It was like t2 is a diamond instead of square on road we both stained our pants and it didn't roll over but id never do donuts again. Id say the t2 is hard to tip you would probably have to get it past halfway rolling over to get it to land on side i believe
