  1. No where to ride close by. The Oregon BLM has closed us off practically. It's a crime. But when we come to the Jamboree, it'll get some miles on her! Can't hardly wait!!!!
  2. Mines like brand new after 3 years...... 239.4 miles. OMG!
  3. Wow; you gotta lot of time and effort into your Trooper. Thanks for the pics!
  4. I spent too much time on dino's. I have to face it; I can't draw them. I tried at least 5 different ones. They all look like they're chewing on gummy bears; and their heads too big for the roll cage. Sorry
  5. Ok; so I dunno much about silk screening and T-shirt prints; but if this will work; you can use it if you want. (I learned some new tricks in photoshop, and wanted to try them out.)
  6. Ya know; it's funny you said that Lenny. I was thinking for some reason that we were all so old that we revert back to age 6. Why the heck am I doing kiddy cartoons? I dunno; but I'll revamp and start over. Wierd; my hot rod artwork never appealed to little kids.
  7. Awwww....Ya don't like "Deeno" ? I could do Barney and Baby Bop maybe! (My daughters favorite from 20 years ago) Naw; just kiddin; I could do something more original. I dunno if it would be as cute as Deeno though.
  8. Hello Kinarfi I was messin around with Photoshop and thought I'd give the design for the Jamboree a shot. I didn't do the lettering yet because i wasn't sure what you guys wanted. If this will work; let me know; I can set the lettering display, or make changes if you want. I did the color in light blue so that it didn't favor any particular Trooper. Yellow is kinda hard on T-shirt design as the inks don't cover very well. -Ken Click on it for larger view Let's have some comments, I think Mopartist has done a good job, I like the idea of not favoring any one particular Trooper, even if it's not yellow , may want to modify the Dinos a little bit away from Flintstones, just a comment. from kinarfi who hyjact this reply so it stay under Mopartist's post.
  9. Whoops ; I was trying to catch ya before you answered. I found out it was a plastic cover painted to look like the powder coated metal.
  10. Ehhhh.......so is the computer visable in the pic I posted?
  11. I've welded on my Trooper many times before, but recently I was told I should unplug the circuits in order to keep from damaging the electrical system. Would this be the place to disconnect on the red switch?
  12. I've been meaning to ask you by the way......what is "ROC MOC"? .....and a "Kinarfi" too? "Mopartist" is derived from me being a "Mopar" or Chrysler enthusiast, and I'm an artist...which makes me a "Mopartist" (I used to do cartoons of classic hot rods for clubs and stuff)
  13. Just refrain from using last names. I took mine off. Hows anyone gonna find out pertinent info ? (Something I didn't think about when i posted) I just wanted to put a name with a face. (I'd never remember handles)
  14. 1008 miles to be exact. We hopefully are coming from Oregon (about 950 miles) But.......it really depends on the economy. It's a LOOOONG trip! Hope to see you there.
  15. Not Sad.........Mines 5 years old! I just thought (being 900 miles fron anywhere near there) , it'd be cool to be able to recognize one another. Believe me; I'm not the "extravert" you guys might think; I'm usually the last one in a room to say hello first. Oh by the way; I also didn't mean it to be "Joyner" owners only; but I can't change the title. My in-laws might come from Henderson NV; and they have a Yamaha. (I'm reasonably sure they won't post pics either.) So Rocmoc; if you would; could you change the title to "Jamboree Folks" or something like that?
  16. And to think I thought this would be enough "kick in the pants" Uhhhhh.....I don't want to come off like I feel I need to be attracted to you guys to be a friend! LOL!
  17. Awwww Jeeeez; 17 views and no takers. Do you guys really think you are gonna hide behind rocks out in the desert where nobody can see you? Or are we all gonna have seperate Jamborees? Whatever!
  18. Handle: Mopartist Names: Ken and Terri From: Bend, Oregon 08 Trooper 2
  19. With the summer 2011 Jamboree coming up; I thought it might be a good idea to get to know one another a little better, So how about some pics of ourselves and include name and message board handles. It'd be nice to show up at the Jamboree and kinda have an idea of who's who; don't ya think? Ill be glad to start this one off
  20. I like the location south of Hanksville. It's easy to get to; looks like alot of area to camp; and from what I could tell from Google Earth; closing up tight and angling the view shows many canyons, water crossings. and 4x4 climbing areas. It seems like it would be pretty secluded too, so we wouldn't have much competition for camp spots like we would in Moab. I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that we can attend. It's all up to the economy.
  21. Heres some that I made out of flare material I got from JC Whitney. It was cheap; looks decent, and is rugged.
  22. Wow; that long travel suspension is sweet. I wonder how compatable it might be with the Joyner T version? I'm diggin the rims too.
  23. Thanks 2 scoops. How bout some pics for inspiration?
  24. I'm looking forward to your write up of the process. Especially the modification issues. I do weld; but engineering is way beyond me. I'm still not sure exactly what I will do; but if that mod can be done for $1500; that really gets my attention! I don't want to go larger on my wheel/tire combo. I just don't want to put more stress on the stock suspension and have breaking issues. But the long travel shock setup is really interesting. This is a great UTV Board and very beneficial for anyone who will join in and become part of our community. I keep thinking "OK; so now how do I give back?" I am planning on doing a detailed instructional thread on repainting our plastics, and cover airbrushing and pinstriping. I'm trying something new as I will be using Auto Air Colors which is a water based paint system (other than clearcoat) With that I can do the custom work in the house as it is still snowing here in Oregon. Only 33 degrees today. I'm about tired of winter by now and am going cabin crazy
  25. I would call; but I usually avoid the phone for 2 reasons. 1. I'm patially hearing impaired. I do alright if I can SEE the person talking to me because I can make out what he says by also having sight of his speech. And 2.; With email, It's always good to have a record of what is being asked and answered. And expecially for old guys like me; I hang up the phone and immediatelyy forget what I was talking about!
