We had our Joyner 650 Sand Spider out this weekend at Pismo and had a blast with it. The front tires throw a lot of sand, so I've got to put some sort of fender or extended body part up to stop that, and I put a 6 Sigma partial jet kit in it, which made it ever so much easier to start, but the carb got a little sand in something and it stopped running right at the end.
So to my question - one of the guys had a Joyner 4 seater that had the 1600 4 cylinder in it, and felt it was too low on power, so he put a 3.1 Chevy V6/auto in it. He's selling the whole takeout, engine, trans, and computer for $500. Would it fit? I've heard of putting an 800 in a 650, but has anyone done a 1600?

The 1600 motor was never vary good. Its low on power and it is vary heavy. Parts are hard to find for the motor & trans.

We will keep checking the controler for the next 1000 miles and than re dyno again. We want every body to get what they pay for.I heard that some controlers lose thear tune after a few hundred miles.I want to be sure of the numbers.
Thanks

Hi Guys
All 2011 Troopers will come with the cast iron manifolds. We are trying to get them but China Joyner is not being helpfull. We are going to see if a header dealer will make some headers for more toque on the bottom end.Let see what happens.

His trooper was one of no limits builds a few years ago
Trooper Stil Looks Good
Jarrad good Job
-
I know of NO aftermarket headers. I agree our header is more of an exhaust manfould than a header. The tubes on the 1100cc are also different lengths thus a poor header. A real header would also produce an entirely different sound, more like a race car.
rocmoc n Mexico
Hi Romoc we have found that the stock cast iron manifold puts out more torque on the lower end than the header. Just something to think about.

Put me down for a set of cams?
Hi can you email me some pictures of your Trooper. It looks bad!
-
I like where this is going! Cams 5 to 7 Hp? Is that at the wheels? Wounder if we would have a lager increase if the trooper was turbo.
Yes it would increase the performance of your turbo. We will test it on a turbo Trooper. And a stock Trooper. We may make a cam grind just for turbos & supercharged Troopers. We are committed to make the Troopers Reneagades & Vipers The Fastest Buggys out thear with lots of toqure at the bottom end.

Hi Guys
The open diff is for Vipers Spyders. Not for Troopers

Hey im back, with my diff i found that the spring that moves the fork back when not in use dosent let the slide collar slide all the what or should i say the half way were needs to be when locker engaged, this causes the gear in the axle to grind about 1/8 of the gear till wont engage the locker, the axle gear can be put in any direction so u can flip it like i did mine and ull n
be fine, check for that and measure the travel of the fork so the slide will be half and half, i cutted that spring and works everytime, when the bloddy cable is not frozen or zeized!!!!!! need electric actuators, after i finish the major build up.
hope this helps
Hi we are building a kit with solenoid for 4x4 control water proof and will not freeze. All models
Coming soon.

We have just recived our control unit to test.It gave lots more power on the low end that you could feel in 2 and 3 gear. The top end was way to lean.It ran good but we know that this is just the begiinning we can increase the rpm but what we want is bottom end. They our going to adjust it a little and we will test it.If we feels its good we will dyno it so every body can see the results. The timing unit will be next If we feel its good we will dyno it. Cams will be next.We have the cams all ready done the grind but the last thing will be getting the shims right its hard to use the stock pots with the new grind we would have someone they know set up the clearance problem between cam and valve shim no big deal. They said 5 to 7 more h/p i dont know if this is worth the money.
Will keep you posted.
Thanks

Bolt-ons will only do so much. Id like to see an EFI controller to go along with a piggy back ecu as well. I have the fast freddy ecu (which is just a 4cyl trust ecu here in the states known as Greddy) on my t2 the only thing I noticed was a power band and 1k higher rpm redline. Im interested in cams! what company will make Cams for the t2??

Mike I talk to Rick today he don't have the upgrade bearing yet in a couple of days Thanks
Hi plumber
We just recived our bearings in.I cut one side so you guys can see. This is a daul tapered roller bearing.Look how thick the steel housing is.This should solve the bearing issue Troopers have in the rear this 35x65x35 is a 1 piece bearing with daul rollers bearings! The triple bearing is for Vipers
49.95 less 5 % off for members.

Wow...Bilsteins! Are these the upgraded shocks that newer Joyners have; or strictly aftermarket? Adjustable? Remote reservoir?
We are working with bilstien to set them up for Troopers T2 T4 Vipers Geting the price down is the hard thing. These are aftermarket shocks not stock Joyner shocks the rear will have remote reservoir the front's we are still working on.

Great Rick Let me know about that ecu
We should have ECU this week.We will dyno early next week.We wlll still have to due a few test to set it up.We want something that dose not go out of tune like some ECU did in the past.
-
Let us know when the brake pads are ready for sale.
In stock now Trooper Rengades Vipers.
Still working on price.
-
We have been working with a ECU tuner .We have sent him all the connectors he needs to connect to Troopers .We should get one this week for testing. We have instaled a exhaust gas senser and exhaust temp senser on are Trooper ECU is set up all wrong. This info will be able to help him zero in on the exact set up on the controler. This also will work on the timing for max.torque. Be for we do any thing we will Dyno in all modes. We will see how good it works hopefully not to expensive.WE have been busy working on the ball joint issue. We have come up with an up grade to the stock ball joint we had custom ureathane boots made to fit tight and not rot or fall apart. We have instaled a grease fitting on the top and have found a grease made for cranes that will not break down or wash out.We are so sure that this will solve the ball joint issue,We are going to warrantey them for 1 year that the boot will not rot or fall off and ball joint will not fail.We will offer the grease if customer wants to perchase some it works great on the c/v's and steering boxes. It will make them run cooler than any grease that comes with c/v's
We have gotton our sintered metal brake pads they will stop a trooper with 31" tires.Great for- sand- water and mud. They should last longer than stock ones. They use these on race motorcycle's
We will have prices in about 1 week.On most products.Bilstein shocks for Trooper's coming soon and they will be affordable!

We use to sell rear seats for Troopers. And it was made to go over the tunnel. You had to remove the center console. It worked well we also sold seat belts for 3 people. It was great for 3 kids.Or 2 Adults. We will make them again when Joyner comes back.
Thanks
