You will need -

Two rear wheel bearings, I got mine from snowman at No Limits Powersports, http://www.joyner-atv-utv.com/ but also available from Silver Bullet Motorsports, http://silverbulletmotorsports.net/

Two seals (metric sizing), part specs TC 45 65 8 purchased from Motion Industries, http://www.motionindustries.com/motion3/jsp/mii/LocationsMI.jsp which are being dropped shipped to me. 3 for approx $15

Large socket set to break the nut loose on the axle holding the hub on. I have a 3/4" set and worked great.

C-clip removal tool, I have one but was easier using an old screwdriver trick.

Seal puller, I have a bodyman's dent removal tool with an adapter that works. This saves the old seal but you could use a screwdriver and kill the seal.

Remove the wheel/tire.

Remove the cotter key.

Remove large nut, someone needs sit in the Trooper applying the brakes to keep the axle from turning.

Remove the brake calipers, 2 bolts per caliper & two calipers per wheel in the rear for a total of 4 bolts.

Slide the hub & rotor off the end of the axle.

Remove the 2 bolts holding the backing hub/bearing housing to the swingarm. One on top, one on bottom.

Remove the bearing housing.

Wipe, clean so you can see what you are doing.

Remove the seal. The seal is in front of the C-clip & bearing.

Wipe, clean so you can see what you are doing.

Remove the C-clip, can be a pain if you have never done it before.

Slide the bearing out.

CLEAN!

That is as far as I am on one side. Waiting for the seals. Why there are seals is beyond me. The bearing is sealed so it is just extra protection. There was grease in the area between the seal & bearing. Cheap insurance so I will put it back the way I found it. I can tell the bearing has spun a very very small amount. The fit between the housing & the bearing is still very very good. Lenny's tip to locite the outside of the bearing in place to the housing is important! But will make it more difficult to remove the bearing the next time it requires replacement.

Yes, my original bearing had wear & slop. IMHO not that bad but did need replacement. The bearing isn't as bad as the design of the housing is. Taper roller bearings should have been the real design but what the heck lasted 4 years.

We Just got are double row taperd roller bearing.Made in the UK. 35x65x35. these are vary good quality.On the subject of any bearing they should be clean and greased 1 a year.Sand can get in or water also.We recomend this to all our customers.The seal cant keep the bearing clean.We check all our bearing to make sure they are greased from factory.Some bearing have little grease in them when new.

Hope this helps you guys and no cotter pins, use some thing made out of steel.

These bearings are double row taperd roller bearings made in the UK.Much better quality and design then Joyners.Thease should last a long time.The one on the left is the new one the one on the right is the joyner one.

Hi All,

After my recent accidnet I need some tough to find parts. I'm hoping one of you may have what I need in your stash.

1, a bearing cage for the front axle.

2, a couple of lower ball joints.

When the Trooper got thrown out of the toy hauler it landed on the left front wheel, goodbye bearing cage. My fabricator is going to replace the upper ball joints with domestic parts but that requires cutting and welding. I'm hoping I can find a couple of lowers to cut down on expenses. There's lots of cosmetic damage but that I can fix.

My fabricator has one of the cars he builds for sale. I'd consider it but there's a couple of problems. One, it won't fit in the new toy hauler, and two, I'm a bit shy on cash, Christmas expenses you know. I guess I don't really need a long travel, 500hp buggy. He even reduced the price to 60K, what a deal!!!

I'm hoping to get the repairs done by Christmas.

We have low compression forged piston.Now we carry standard piston 0.010 or 0.020 over sized Also custom head gaskets..We have found a new market we are rebuilding Trooper Renegade Commandos motors.We have found that most of the time customers have not taken vary good care of thear motors.Also the vary worst filter system dosent help.So when you see a new Joyner trailing around tell them to change thear filters.We are trying out a new filter system.It looking vary good so far.

We now sell a new stock clutch.It is made in japan and has a better metrial on the disc.The springs are heavy duty no plastic in the disc.Quality is far better than the stock clutch from China.It is less expenesive then the stock clutch from joyner 195.00.The keliver is what works best on the turbo trooper renegades Vipers.If you just want a replacement clutch this is the clutch for you.We have decided to make the forged pistons stock and low compression for the turbos & none turbos we will carry total seal rings and a good quality stock rings We cant get rings or pistons from the dealer.On brake pads we will carry CU SINTERED METAL PADS for Troopers Vipers.A good all around pad stops better and last longer.Coming soon 3 to 6 weeks out.

WE are working on a forged pistons for the TROOPER 1100 CC.WE are going to change the compresion ratio to 8.5 and have floating piston pins for turbo motors.You can raise the turbo pressure and get more power on pump gas to the wheels We are going to offer total seal rings.Or stock rings you can have a coated piston or not.We are going to offer stock compression ratio forged piston for the guys who wants to rebuild thear motor.We will try to keep the price down.We do not have cost price yet

I have been looking at several different China made UTV's, especially the HiSun Yamaha Rino copy. I want to know if anyone has any first or second hand info on the quality/reliability of these machines (or any other China UTV's), who makes the engines, and availability of replacement parts. Also, who is a good reputable dealer/source to do business with? What internet sellers are running scams, as I would like to stay away from them.

I do not own a UTV as of yet, that's why I'm asking.

Just picked up our Trooper from AFCO shocks.We took a test ride and i cant belive how nice the Trooper rides.It seams to ride vary controlled smooth ride we have 30' tires and power steering.We will see how well it works in the coming

weeks.Our Trooper is one of the early ones and has been tortured since new.We still have to find out on the rocks how the travel is.We want to know how it works in the real world .Dual rate shocks make a big difference plus you can adjust the spring
