  1. If you're in Low, it shouldn't be running very fast (speed).  Low is for pulling/plowing and getting out of trouble.  Does it do the same thing in high gear?  Also,  what all do you have locked in when this happens? Is it in turf mode or are front and rear diff's locked in?

  2. I use Lucas products , 80-90 HD Gear Oil for the diff and 10w40 Semi-Synthetic.  For the winch, some brands will cross over but not sure which.  Check your cooling system, seems to be the biggest problem with that model/year range (fan and coolant level).  Other than that, check wiring connections and water proof as much as you can,  corrosion causes a lot of issues as well.

  3. Should take 2 quarts.  Did you have the dipstick out or filter off when draining?   I would take out the drain plug again and make sure nothing is blocking it from draining (wear gloves for slivers.)  There was a thread on here recently where parts had broke loose.  If clean you can just refill with this oil.

  4. 7yrs old and 12 miles on it?  Sounds like there's something wrong with it and it's been parked for a loooong time.  Even if there wasn't, sitting for any length of time is not good.   There's quite a history of issues with those models on here. A good price would probably be one low enough to replace the engine.

  5. Rent a skid steer with a mulcher attachment.  Looks like an oversized stump grinder.  We used them to clear out under power lines, which wasn't  done that often so trees would get to 6-8" in diameter and that thing would eat them up.  When you're done clearing just run it over the cleared ground and it's tilled and ready to plant.

Hisun makes them for Lowe's.... read through the Hisun and Massimo forum. Honestly i don't think their products, nor there after sale services are very good. I doubt Lowe's would be any help if you needed a warranty claim, or tech help.

I'd go with the Honda just for the fact of the unmatched reliable reputation they've built.

Just looked at the Lowes add for that, pretty much looks like an  MSU 500/700 that Hisun made for Massimo back then.  Take a good look at the badging on parts to see who it's actually made by, my guess is it's still Hisun.

  7. From your description, I'd say a UTV is what you'd want.  Much more comfortable than an ATV for extended use like plowing.  Plus you could have a windshield and enclosure.  No worries about being top-heavy,  nothing above shoulder level but roll cage and a plastic roof.   Plenty of options and prices ranges out there, if you can find them in stock.
