  1. Thanks Lowgear. Did you try unplugging the speed sensor? I have thought of that but hesitated unplugging things due to brittle nature of connectors on this beast. I will post any/all remedies I come up with.
  2. Thanks Lenny. The new cable came complete with new sheathing so that is covered. I will unplug the IAC test. If that doesn't work I will try return spring. Can't get my head around the fact that it only happens when vehicle is moving. Just doesn't make sense. Results will be posted after testing. Have a great day!
  3. Hello. I'm hoping the Trooper Forum can help me with a nagging problem on my 08 T4. When the vehicle is moving, the RPM's hang up sometimes between shifting and also when I push in the clutch and roll to a stop. Shifting at RPM over 4000 it sometimes stays there (doesn't drop down between shifts). If I put in neutral and roll to a stop it hangs at about 1300 RPM. Once the vehicle comes to a complete stop the RPM drops to 900 like it should. I cleaned up all sensors in the intake throttle body and just replaced the throttle cable but problem remains. Otherwise this rig runs awesome, but my mechanic background makes this really annoying. After reading too many posts on this forum I'm pretty sure I have one of the very early 08 models. Any ideas would be appreciated. Dirtydog in Phx>
  4. I would love to do a Mexicali/Mexico ride but free time for me is summer. Late May - Mid August. Probably not many takers then, eh?
  5. I bought my sled used and it came with extra wheels + 31" tires. They were too big so i dropped 1" and they just fit. Very happy with them but I don't get into sand. Won't be good for that but this opens up more options for tires. Good luck! PS: I will post pics later Wheels--http://www.visionwheel.com/wheel.cfm?id=476 CORRECTION: mine are the 15" x 8" Tires (30/950-15)--http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/tires/falken/product/submitProductSize.do?r=AZRINT%7Cpc%7C85085&pc=18292
  6. Welcome to the crazy world of UTV's! I'm relatively new to this sport too. I spent my younger days getting high, listening to music and chasing females ! Good luck with the tire search. I use Discount Tire for all my tire needs. They supplied me with 30" Rocky Mtn AT's for extra clearance on my 08 Joyner T4 (see, I'm still getting high!). Have fun and watch this forum for loads of good info.
  7. I'm up for that when I get this thing done. Doing wheel brgs, broke my fuel sender and modding my rear rack. Can you post pics of your spare tire mount? Should be finished by end of this week. Where can we meet? I live near Cave Creek.
  8. Hi DevilDog. I did similar fix as Gumball. Here's the source I got somewhere on this forum for plastic. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Colored-Plastic-Rolls,1557.html EDIT BY Kinarfi, That's where I got my Plastic Also Rain is good for AZ and fun for us! Let the mud fly!! Dirtydog in Phx
  9. Unless there's a shortage of memory, maybe just put them all in one folder after 30-60 days.
  10. Rocmoc, this should help for carbuerated models but not for EFI units. I think it allows air/fuel mixture to travel a little further before entering combustion chamber, allowing for better mixing and better combustion. Some spacers can even add a swirl effect to incoming air/fuel mix. Good luck! FYI...Check this out! $69 Car Performance Chips 60 Horsepower Increase Save 7 MPG Easy Installation on All Cars www.GFChips.com This ad came from page you linked to. I have tried on of the units on my ex-2008 Toyota FJ to impressive results. Noticed more responsive throttle, more power overall, especially towing, and 2+ more mpg! I just got an 06 F150 and ordered new chip today. I hope it works as well as last time. I emailed GForce and asked if they could supply upgrade for our Troopers. I will let you know what the say.

  12. steveozz, I have a full set of what I think are stock wheels from my T4. It came w/set of 4- 15" rims & tires so I have all 5 (three front and two rear) 14" wheels and tires. Tires are not too great, though. My rig also came with new fenders so I may be able to let go of the old ones if you want it. I will check things over and get back to you with pics.
  13. Happy New Year!!! Have fun and be safe. Dave M Phx, AZ
  14. They just recieved their parts shipment and are checking things in and loading the shelves. My order should be filled on Monday or Tuesday (per lady that answered the phone 12-30-10 pm). Just as soon as they get everything (4 pallets) put away. If true then things are looking up for us Joyner fans! ***HAPPY NEW YEAR***
  15. They are up and running in Tempe, AZ. I have already purchased parts from them but their supply is limited. New container coming in January.
