Trooper Transmission

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, I am in the process of changing the fluid in my transmission. When I opened the fill bolt fluid started coming out. Is this common, it seems like it was overfilled. This is a new Trooper with about 100 miles on it, so I assume the fluid was put in at the factory. My worry is that I'm doing something wrong and won't be able to get the correct amount of fluid back in. I plan to use Royal Purple max gear SAE 75w-90 fluid, is anyone else using this? Thanks for the help.

I'm using Royal Purple also. I wouldn't worry about the oil level in transmission. Even if it is overfilled, it shouldn't hurt anything. I wouldn't suspect that it is over filled too much. You can always allow the extra oil to drain down to the filler hole level.

Was at Lowe's over the weekend. The wife and I seen they have a new Axis 550. That thing is sharp. Has a complete door. Speakers in door. Bigger engine. Bench seats. New styling all the way around. Looks to be more air tight than my 2022 model. I really like the looks but $10k is out of my price range for now. Unless I could sell mine. And the resale on the Axis 500 is nothing.
Went to the local wally world today. See a 4 person Polaris General 1000 on the back of a trailer. That Polaris looked exactly like a stretched version of the Axis 550. Even down to the vents in the windshield.
Just wondering if anyone can confirm or deny the Axis 550 is a copy of the Polaris?

Just bought my first SxS 4 days ago. Looking forward to hitting some trails and back roads. Having a few issues with the machine(Vector 500), but nothing serious. Just setup and tweaking. I would like to by some accessories, but I don’t seem to be able to find much which is machine specific. Or at least my machine. Does hisun offer accessories? Any advice would be appreciated.

I have a Coleman Outfitter 550 purchased in January 2022 that runs and operates pretty well.  65 hours on it so far.   It is a work vehicle for my 10 hilly acres with two 1 acre woods and 5 acres of "lawn".  The rest is under a lake.
My parking brake does not seem to have any grip.  It worked when new but after a month or so, it is just almost useless.     I press the parking brake pedal hard until it stops. Still, it won't hold even on slight inclines.   I don't see the caliper move as I press the brake pedal down.  There seems to be plenty of pad left on it and the rotor is shiny as if it is rubbing a little when applied, but not enough to stop it from rolling.
      Any thoughts on possible causes?
