My father-in-laws 750 hisun will not change gears unless he completely turns the motor off then shifts.  I thought it might be a brake problem but he thought clutch.  He took it to a jackleg down the road and he basically charged him $300 and did not fix a thing.  Any ideas would be useful because he really can’t afford throwing money at it.

You can only change gears while stopped with foot on the brake.   Not sure if that answers your question but that's the way these things are designed?  I have the Axis Pro 750 and have found they have to be treated gently,   Great body, but the engine and transmission is not very good quality.

You didn't mention year or model, however, Sector 750s require the idle speed to be around 1600rpm or lower to move gear selector into desired position. If the idle speed is to high you will NOT be able to engage a different gear.

Definitely not the problem.  I wondered how the machine “knows” if you have your foot on the brake?  Sensor, relay, or mechanical device?

There is a brake and neutral switch.  If the machine is not in neutral, the brake has to be depressed to start in gear.  The brake also has to be depressed for the reverse lockout to disengage to select reverse gear.  As others mentioned, if the idle speed is above ~1600 RPM it will not shift very well.  IF the CVT is engaging the belt at all (i.e. transferring any power to the transmission) shifting will be VERY difficult if not impossible without issues.  These machines use a wet clutch to engage a drum that drives the primary CVT clutch.  What is the machines idle speed when cold and when warmed up?

I do have to sometimes "blip" the throttle right before changing gears for a smooth shift.  The blip is useful when i have stopped and the belt hasn't returned to a "free" position.

Is the cam sprocket a bolt removal or is it pressed on? Dang bolt is on tight. Impact wrench won't even move it.

Decided to do an oil change on the Massimo ...drained oil, screen was very clean even tho oil wasn't.  Then went to remove old filter.. holy crap ..I tried every tool I have, could not budge it..Went to store and got one of the end cap type..fit nice and tight, put a 1/2 in drive ratchet on it..nope..not moving.  Put a 18 on breaker bar o. It. The inside of the removal tool broke off!!  Had to weld it back together. Put a pipe on the bar for more leverage.  Finally broke it loose..
I have never seen a filter in my 55 yrs of working on engines so tight..And i was the one who put it on 2 yrs ago.  JUST HAND TIGHT!

My older LM 650 is blowing fuel into the air cleaner.  Any idea on what would cause this?  It is the Suzuki motor.  Not sure what model year it is.
      Thanks

      Hi All,
New here, but bought a 2022 Sector 750 brand new last march (old stock up here in Canada)
It's a good bike so far, but I have noticed a quirk and was wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue?

The issue I've had is if I leave the utv parked on any incline, not even a major incline, and leave it to sit for a while (day or two) it will not start properly. It will turn over and not fire until I press the gas pedal, when it will run and rev up, but if I let off the gas it will die. It will keep doing this until I either start it in gear and drive it for a bit or leave it in neutral and roll it down the hill to flatter ground. where it will have to sit for a while.
If I park it on a decline there is no issue. fuel is not low, it's occurred a couple times now.

Any thoughts on the cause of this? Dealership just says bring it in and let them take a look, at my expense of course.
