I may have one. Had a new one that I sold on Ebay. Guy said it didn't work so I'm refunding his money. I'm thinking it's ok and may just be something simple. Will check it out when I get it back. I'll let you know.

For the starter solenoid you can use a 96 Geo Tracker.. Replaced my solenoid with one. Bolted right up... 1.6 GEO motor ..Make sure you check it out before buying for the starter motor part. I do not know if it spins CW or CCW plus I did not count the teeth on bendix. The solenoid is 78.00 at Advance.. 25.00 For used starter at junk yard.

I recommend the use of an interposing relay when you get things back together, the long run and small wire from key to solenoid limits the current and before I put one on my trooper, I could hear the solenoid come in, but the starter didn't spin, after I put the relay in, no more problems. Take your starter apart and clean and lube it and clean the commutator and then put it back together, that could be all it needs.

Did the interposing relay, but still had problems. So i:

removed starter and dissassembled. water had gotten in and one brush was seized. easy fix.

Who designed the intake? idiot. flipped it upside down. Now, i can get to the starter easily, plus the MAS doesn't get crammed with mud.

Moved the starter cable from the cutoff switch to the battery direct. Why complicate things?

Everything works good so far...

My rtv 1140 won't turn over.  I've jumped the neutral switch, and the brake switch, and checked the ignition switch. I'm not getting any power to the trigger wire on the starter solenoid.  It starts fine with the key on and putting power to the trigger wire on the solonoid.
Does a 2010 RTV 1140 cpx have a starter relay?
Does anyone have a wiring diagram?

I recently purchased a 2019 or 2020 (no manual) Massimo 400S Buck Series UTV.  It ran fine for a couple days but the low battery light was flashing while it drove.  It then died in the field one day and I was able to jump the battery and get it rolling enough to get back to the barn.  It started both times I turned the key for a couple days after and when driven died 10 minutes later in the driveway.  Even after jumping it had no juice, but with the key out of the ignition it kept trying to start, a quick look on the Google machine and it suggested starter solenoid or ignition switch was the culprit.  Fair enough, let's just order a replacement solenoid, right?  No way Jose....the pin connector on the UTV is a 2-pin white plastic connector and the part received is a 4 pin.  How do I swap that and make it work?  Can I even?  Where do I find correct parts in the future?

      Hey all,
Took my Hisun sector 750 into the dealership to get a couple warranty issues resolved ( Stator died, parking brake alarm stuck on and occasional no start without throttle being applied).
The unit was at the dealership for 5 weeks, and when I went to pick it up it had more issues. Went to start it to load it up and the starter was making a terrible grinding noise. Turned it off to see if it was a one time fluke, and after then engine shut down there was a few loud clunks from the engine area that I had never heard before. Neither issue was present prior to the shop working on it.
Needless to say I left it there to be looked at again. Kinda peeved since it's a couple hour round trip hauling a trailer, not happy on gas.
Any thoughts on what could have happened? More concerned about the clunks as opposed to the starter grinding.
