Trooper has intermittent starting..

My trooper intermitts when it wants to start.. it will always start cold..but if you shut it off it might start again and it may not.. it won't fire..but it you wait 5-10 mins it will start up just fine again until you shut it off.. I can't figure it out soo it's been idel if a lot lately..

If that is the stock gauge, it probably isn't correct mine was showing 45 psi and when I put another one I had in the shop, it was more like 25 psi.

Go ahead and change your plugs (cheapest 1st) but I've never heard of plugs getting hot and not working. 

Fuel pumps and ignition coils usually. Keep us informed on how the plug change goes.

So your fuel pressure is 45 or 25 psi... it is the fuel pressure...I watch my gauge.. when I shut it I watch it bleed back.. when it gets to just below 40 psi it will start

I took it down to 30 and it doesn't doesn't wanna run that low and still having to delayed start problem...my ejk fuel controller instructions says to run it at 53-55 psi...

Yes.. i also turned the fuel pressure down to about 50-52 psi.. it wasn't running rich.. air/fuel gauge is running at about 14-14.5 warm..I took it riding the other day for about 6-8 hours and i had to wait for it to start a few times that morning but after that it hasn't don't it anymore.. I don't know for sure but I think it's was because i had it very very rich before and now I got it running pretty go now..

Start having the same problem again and when it does it.. it won't fire either...its was a loose ground problem on the transmission..its fine again .. for now..!!! Lol

Glad you figured it out. At the end of the season last year Mine was dieing on me when coming off throttle from time to time. Then it didn't want to start afterward. I found oil in the intake and on the intake sensors. Also found a suspect air leak in a cracked intake rubber plug.  Cleaned the sensors and filled the plug with rtv and is running great. Keep an eye on rubber parts. They are always cracking.

2scoops, from my experience, if you have oil in the intake, you may be having too much bypass around the rings, do you still have the oil/air separator mounted?  FYI My '15 doesn't even have one.

      Riding out today it acted like it ran out of gas,  stalled and died and would not start.   Towed back to house,  New  plug added this past month,  plenty of oil, getting plenty of gas, battery cranks good.   Trys to kick in and starts but doesnt.   Two days prior while sitting at a idle it died.  Added gas and it started did my ranch chores with it.  But just now it stalled out cranks but will not start.   Tried to find if fault codes came up on the clock like manual says but not sure I am doing that right.  Any and all help apprecated.  Thank you

      Information on 2024 Hison 550x Stryker with a No start Issue

      I just bought a new 2024 Hison 550 Stryker 2 months ago. this is the second time I have had this issue.  It only has about 20 hours on it. The last time it happened we took it back to the dealer. it was a fuse.  Since we live three-hour time driving there and back. I would like to find another solution if possible.  I have tried all the fuses that seem to have anything to do with starting.  Currently checking the battery. The battery is new. it came with the unit. It is probably 6 months old.  the UTV has all power to everything electrical. lights turn signals and radio all work.  When trying the key to start . it is 100% dead. as in it doesn't even click.  There is a low whirring like the fuel pump is turning on though. The Unit was running and driving just fine.  we shut it down for the night. The next morning my wife found it in this condition.  Thanks for any Ideas or solutions???   Otherwise, it goes back to the dealer tomorrow. Just hope I didn't buy a lemon. Great little UTV when it does run.😅  anyone else ever have this Issue..?

      Looking for a output shaft for a Joyner trooper t2. Went to move the buggy after sitting all winter and it appears the out put shaft that drives the rear wheels broke off inside the transmission so looking for the shaft or a complete transmission if someone has one

      2013 hisun 700 will not run, cranks fine

      I have a 2013 Hisun with a 686 Yamaha engine.
      I purchased it from an individual and it ran fine as long as the battery was full.
      I replaced the stator and now it will not start (run).  It cranks fine, has fuel pressure, but will not fire up.  I replaced the coil, no luck there.
      a technician told me that it was the wrong stator and wants a mint to replace it.
      the wires all plugged in when I installed the stator.

      Will NOT START
      MY apologies if this is to much info just wanted to give yal the most information possible for help.
      I'm a so called diyer. An Electrician by trade 21yrs. I got my S×S from my last job. The contractor purchased this S×S for this specific job brand new, from Lowes. They used it for hauling materials, tools, & a little bit of anything you can think of on an Industrial type job site. 
      I remember getting on the SxS one time & pushed the gas petal all the way to the floor & SxS had very little power. 
      So anyway ,when the job finished up back mid July this year (7/2024) , I asked the contractor what they was going to do with it. I was told to take it. Otherwise it would go to the contractors yard (storage yard) & most likely rust away. 
      Took it home washed it , it had a heavy coat of dust on it & in it dust was every where. My helper & I had to push it on the trailer to get it home.  After washing it throughly I let it sit & dry out for a good day and half, maybe 2 days. Before trying to start it. NO START. Will turn over & try to start but thats it. 
      So here's what I've purchased & installed. New Air Filter, new spark plug, new air idle control valve (AICV), new throttle position sensor, new throttle body, new oxygen sensor, new digital dash speedometer/fuel gauge/clock. 
      Also drained the old oil & gas & replaced with new oil & 93oct. gas. I should probably mention that I've changed the AICV twice. The 1st time I changed the AICV I was able to get the SxS started & let idle for at least 10-15min. Drove out of the garage, with very little power,  turned it around & barely got it back in the garage.That was the one & only time I've been able to start the SxS. I've also cleaned the Throttle Body and & intake with TB cleaner.  So after that the AICV was  making weird noise so I pulled it out & tried cleaning it, pretty sure I messed it up. So I purchased a Throttle Body that came with new AICV & TPS. Still NO START.  I've checked the fuel pump & the fuel injector.  I took the injector off still hooked up to wiring & turned the key over, the injector sprayed a lot of gas out kinda the size of a volleyball. I've also checked the clearance gap on the intake & exhaust valve. But today 11/2/2024 I'm going recheck spark plug gap & the valve gaps. And alot of other checking. Would the driver side seat belt have anything to do with it not starting?? I know the driver side seat belt has to be in gauged for full throttle "going fast". Thing is the drv. side seat belt will latch but feels like might be messed up inside of it. Tired opening it up but to no avail.  I've never had a S×S or 4wheeler so I was really excited when I got the S×S,not so much anymore.  I work on & fix my own vehicles usually no problems.  But this SxS is kicking my ass.
      So if possible & someone could help me with some ideas or tell me what Im doing wrong or did wrong, I would greatly appreciate it.  Thank you for reading thus far.
