610 Mule 4x4 White Smoke

I was riding my 610 when a huge cloud of white smoke came out of the exhaust.  I lost power, I stopped, the engine came back like normal.  I started back to the house, it happened again just for a second.  I shut it down.  Does anyone have a clue what it might be?

You my friend are possibly burning oil, what does the smoke smell like??!

@vaughn Mule 610's as a far as i read just now on the internet aren't water cooled, Unless he has oil in his fuel tank or something?

Ooooops......you're right, my mistake.   Sounds like gas then.  Oil smoke should be blue-black.

I do know of you have too high of ethanol in gas, it can cause smoke! Or at least that's what i've heard. And i think, if my memory serves me corrctley, @mcabubba said it only does it in short spurts, if it is oil it would be constantly.

The problem was gas in the crankcase.  Carb had to be replaced due to the seat at the float needle was letting fuel enter engine chamber.

Glad you found the source of the problem!!  How would that let fuel into  the crankcase? Im not familiar with the fueling settup of a 610.

The carburetor does not have an overflow port.  So when the carb fills up, it flow into the engine cylinder.

Oh okay, Was there any damage done to the crankshaft or anything?
