After a few days of heavy rainfall I got in my Sidekick and noticed that the belt seemed to be slipping as I was making my way out on a large property. I turned around and could barely make it back to my shop. After removing the cowelling I noticed about a quart of water drained out. I dried the area, the cover and checked the belt. No signs of dammage, belt looks great and no foreign debris other than water in the area. I put it back together and there was a definite improvement. The Sidekick is driveable now but the belt still slips but only at a higher speed and only when the throttle is punched. I'm wondering whether I may have inadvertently damaged it while it was wet and have ordered a new belt. I have looked on line to see if there is a guide or procedure, specifically for the CVT belt removal and replacement for the 850 but can find none. Does anyone have experience with this?

Anyone having issues with drive belt squeal . Been to Bass Pro 3 times. Replaced drive clutch and belt . Noise started again after 15 minutes. Anyone have this problem

Some time ago unit stalled going uphill towing a small motorcycle. Some smoke and smell of rubber burning. Removed belt and it looked ok but the case area was grimy with grease-like sludge. Cleaned it all out and installed new belt and front variator pulley assembly. Within a few minutes of running it was destroyed in pieces—this was low speed but uphill, with jerking/stuttering.
I then opened it up and removed the belt remains, but reinstalled the old belt. It runs again but again has the stuttering/jerking when accelerating from stop, or when slowing down to about 1-2mph…changed transaxle fluid and no difference.
Any ideas?

Moin from Germany. Anybody knows the Size of the Belt for the T-Boss 550? So i can choose one from the aftermarket? The original is very expensive here? For example Mitsuboshi or else……Thanks

I was told by dealer that normal extenders will not fit the ones on my 2023 Polaris 1000 UTV. Does anyone know where I can find the proper extender?
