Electrical wiring for Joyner 650 Commando cannot find

Recommended Posts

Hi, I was hoping to find an "in-color" diagram, at least, of the wiring from the speedometer and where all the wires are connected.

The entire wiring of the entire side-by-side would be wonderful!!!

I purchased a used 2008 Joyner Commando 650 2 seater from an individual and they butchered the wiring...something has come lose and I cannot for the life of me tell where it is supposed to connect. It is a ground wire and is till connected to the frame but I don't know where else it is suppose to connect.

What makes me think it goes to the speedometer is that when it came lose, the speedometer immediately stopped working.

If anyone can help me with this, I would appreciate it tremendously. There is nothing on Joyner's website...and I already looked on YouTube to no avail...might be something there but I could not find it...

Thanks for the information, I looked at it and still can not tell which wire is the ground wire. You see, I was making improvements on my Joyner when a ground wire broke lose and my display went blank along with my 4x4 switch. I’m looking for the place to reconnect the ground. I know it’s a ground because the part that is still attached is connected to the chassis.
Any kind of help will most gracefully be accepted and appreciated 😇

Now I understand your problem, I think.  The ground wire is there and connected to the chassis but you can't determine where the lose end goes.  The only thing I can offer is to look for a connector that is close by.  It probably came from that connector.  And that connector probably has one terminal that's missing a wire.  Unused terminals usually, but not always, do not have a metal contact pin installed in the connector.  Can you access the back of the display?

Sorry for not getting back sooner...

yes, I can but don’t see a place for that ground wire.
that’s exactly why I’m at a loss...

i’ve even searched everywhere under the frontend with no luck. I was thinking maybe it  was spliced into another wire but I don’t even see anything it would have come from in that manner...Crazy, huh?

I got an old 2003 Arctic Cat 375 Auto, and just bought a 2008 AC 650 side by side. Got a new starter, solenoid, and battery for the 650. Gonna change the crankcase oil and filter while I'm at it.
Anything I oughta watch out for from them that's done the starter/solenoid on this model?
Don't have a manual yet for the 650. Any recommendations for oil weight/grade?
      Thanks.

I purchased a 2008 Qlink Rodeo 700 a few years ago.  I am from Michigan.  Anyone know of any local repair shops?  I had a dead battery, so I replaced that, started right up, ran the quad down the road, (this was last year), put it in the barn, shut it off.  then a couple weeks later, went to go start it again, and nothing.  I have power to the dash lights, horn, turn signals, wench etc, but nothing to the starter switch, and I hate electrical crap.  Battery still reads 12.x volts.

Any suggestions would be amazing.  I've owned it over 2 years, and haven't run 1 tank of gas through it.  No time to screw with it, and very frustrated.  Hoping someone can offer some advice of value.
