Bought this machine a couple years ago and the gages didn’t work.  I have troubleshot this thing numerous times to no avail. Thought it may be a common ground so I individually grounded  the gages, didn’t work.  I have tested the sending units.  All have some resistance that changes as the engine revs or gets warmer.  Please help me.  Thanks in advance

I don't know if you've resolved your issue with the gauges since it's been a while.  Do the lights work on the gauges?  With the engine off, is the oil pressure warning light  and battery light illuminated?  When I turn on the ignition without startingt the engine, those two lights come on, gauge lights illuminate and the speedometer & tackometer cycles.  This applies to the Trooper and Renegade.  I can't address other Joyner products.  On my machine, all of the guages are powered by a 12vdc supply through a 7.5amp fuse.  There's a body wiring connector that may have come loose.  This connector passes the sensor signals to the gauges.  The speedometer and tacometer are run via the l/p connector (a different connector).  I have no idea where those connectors are located on the Renegades.

Have a MSU 500 that we got from my wife's uncle a while back. We've had it running and hauling around the property but it stopped a few months ago after what I thought was running out of gas and I'm just getting to looking into it.
Had fuel to the injector but nothing coming out the injector so swapped with new injector and installed inline filter in the supply hose from fuel pump. Tried again and still nothing but noticed this time that I can't hear the fuel pump priming.
Pulled off the electrical connection and I'm getting 12V to the fuel pump but it won't run. Put it on a test bench and got it to run so put test lamp between +ve and -ve terminals on the connector and nothing. Checked against the passenger seat securing post and get a light.
Tried chasing the wire back and think that the ground is through the ECU but not 100% sure. Can someone confirm for me? And if it is through the ECU, is the ECU just grounded against the frame or is it wired through to the battery?
Thanks in advance and hope this all make sense!

Hey all, I was just wondering what you guys consider a necessary upgrade or spare part to have or mod onto your machine.
I'm going for a kind of shtf survival rig that's not going to be SUPER heavy and I'm looking at getting:
A spare belt (I keep seeing this mentioned everywhere I look so it must be important)
A spare tire and mount( So would I need a jack like one from an old jeep or something else?)
      Tire chains for the winter
And maybe a cargo bed upgrade so things don't slide out.
      Bumpers because duh.
I already installed high output lights and have a windshield, roof, back window, and winch. And I outfitted a Molle panel for the back of my passenger seat with extra supplies like food, first aid, and spare mags.
Any advise on increasing durability, longevity, and having something on hand because it's absolutely necessary would be a plus.
      Thanks so much!

Hello all. I have a 2005 Joyner sand spider 650 with the dreaded broken output shaft on the transmission. I got ahold of a 2007 joyner commando 650 for cheap that had a bad motor but a good transmission. I got it because everything i read said that the transmission would work but it seems that it will not. Due to the commando being 4x4 it has a selectable locker and a small ring gear using a "idler" gear to turn the ring gear which make the output spin the wrong direction. Is there any way that I can make this thing work? I really dont want a commando,  I like the buggy but if the trans wont work then I can only put my motor in the commando. Any help would be appreciated. I have the ring gear from the original trans but the shaft is broken and the shaft from the commando wont fit the ring gear it doesn't appear.

I just bought an older (2008) Teryx 750 and am having some concerns.  Hoping of course, that most are not too big. . . but more knowledgeable folks like yourselves will surely have some ideas.  Thanks in advance.
-- about 2700 hrs, camo version
-- Starting:  after not running much at the auction site, I tried it and it was tough to start but half of this was likely I did not quite know the tricks for how long to keep the choke on. However, once it started it was kind of hard to keep running until it warmed up(once warmed it starts perfectly every time with no choke).  Now, back to running after the first ignition:  I had to hold the RPM's up a bit to keep it running and when doing so it sounded as if a little gnome was inside the engine pounding on something at random intervals.  Wondering if this could be detonation-- "knocking"?  After warming, it disappeared completely.  Maybe just need higher octane gas??
-- After starting and running a bit there was a pretty terrible smell, most "like" burning rubber or an electrical fire.  No fire or resolution of this.  Eventually this TOO went mostly away, but still basically present.  Could it be adjustment needed for the main belt variable speed tranny?
-- When I move from neutral into either Lo or HIGH range forward gears, I get gear clashing.  I did NOT put foot on brake and read in manual(just NOW) that you are supposed to do so.  (I have NOT gotten back out to check and see if this matters. )  OR, could it be part of the drive system is mashed up??!  Geez, hope not.
-- There is a big open hole allowing direct sight into the belt transmission on the back right side.  This can't be normal, it must require some plastic cover.  Right?  Any rodent could get right into the transmission!
-- THere appears to be no muffler or spark arrestor unit.  This "could " be the cause of some of the smell. . . ??  but that should not smell like burning rubber or electrical smell. . .

      SO.  That is all.
I sure would appreciate any insight on this issues and finally(!). . . if I was to take this into a local dealer what would you say are the top three issues I should have them address first?

      thanks!
