Just purchased a 2018 Hisun Sector 250. The gear shift is hard to engage. Tried depressing the brake pedal, no change. Tried with the engine running and turned off, no change. The gear shift cable, from the dash to the trans seems to be grinding. With my hand on the cable I can feel it grinding, vibrating, as the gear shift is moved up or down. Can this cable be removed and greased or does it just need to be replaced?

Didn't think it was the trans. The vibration and grinding is felt even when the engine is off.  I think my next move is to take the cable off at the trans and see if the problem is still there.

There's products made specifically for cable lubrication. But once there's a noticeable problem. None of that stuff really works. Maybe its okay for maintenance, but it won't fix a bad cable. A new cable isn't exactly expensive. So that's the only way to go here.

Sometimes fishing that cable, or trying to duplicate the routing. Especially after removing the old cable, can be a problem. I'd probably try to tape the leading end of the new one, to the trailing end of the old one. Then work it through. That way it'll go over what its supposed to, and under, or through the rest. Hopefully leaving it positioned just as it's supposed to be. Might work, might not, but it's worth a try. Don't forget that its likely clamped down in a place or two. Good luck.

I have the same problem with my 450 sector. What i find works is to give a quick blip on throttle and as revs drop engage the gear. Don't rev to high as gears could be damaged. Do the same if you need to remove from gear to neutral position.

Discovered and repaired the shifting problem.  After removing the shift cable from the trans, found out the shift was still hard. replaced the cable, all's well now. Turns out the cable was up against the exhaust pipe and it melted the casing. Moved the new cable away as much as you can but will install some heat shields to prevent another recurrence.

Hope I posted this in the right place. Looking for the left side shaft carrier where the rear bearings go for an 1100cc sand viper, I understand an 800 cc carrier will also work. I need the old style two bearing with the spacer in the middle, the new style with just the one wide bearing wont work. If anybody has one I'll buy it right away. my email is [email protected]

Hi, I purchased a used Cub Cadet 750 Challenger that seemed like the belt was slipping so I put a new belt in.  It still acts like the belt is slipping but now I am thinking it is the clutch?
What is the best way to remedy this problem?
      Can the clutch be rebuilt?
      Are there aftermarket clutches available?

I have a 2021 Axis(Hisun) 700 from Lowes. Will not start. Checked starter, solenoid, spark plug and fuel pump. Everything seems to be fine. The motor turns over and will try to start but just will not. Battery is also good. Frustrated!

"Mrs. Smith" doesn't like how loud our Sector 750 is.  On a HISUN forum someone said the same thing about his 750.  I haven't given it much thought because I've been more focused on stuff that has broken.
So, I used my decibel meter to check ours out.  4000 RPM, Low gear, under 20 MPH . . . . 97 decibels.  That's above most ordinances, even state boat noise limits.
AI Overview Ninety-seven (97) decibels is considered very loud and dangerous to hearing with prolonged exposure, roughly equivalent to a newspaper press, a loud nightclub, or a snowmobile. At this level, damage can occur after just 30 minutes, necessitating hearing protection

Can anyone please tell me or send a link as to how & where to hook up a code reader to my 2021 Hisun 500 Axis.  I have a 6 pin to a 18 pin  adaptor and the blue cord VAG KKL adaptor .Just not sure where or what to hook up to. Can I use your typical vehicle code reader or do I need to download something on a laptop or PC???
